I am having problems with volumetric lights and my waterfall alpha planes. You can see in the picture that there is a line, the edge of the plane, that is visible when I use volumetrics. It disappears as I turn down the quality of the light. I have tried adjusting many settings in the transparency tab as well as the transparency function but cannot get it to disappear. Help will be rewarded.

Hi, I know the problem you describe, but also do not have a solution. Only recently, there was a similar question in the forum that went unsolved. I'd really be grateful for any hints how to correct this. So, should you ever find a way, please post it :-)

We all know this problem. Two solutions: 1. play around with the light and the cam 2. don't use alpha planes with volumetric atmospheres.

you can only use NON- volumetric light near the alpha plane...

Ok thanks, I have been putting off releasing my waterfalls due to this problem but since it seems inevitable for now I will get on with things.
