Hi Trina - what format are you making your thumbs in? I've never seen an alert that said that my thumb's dimensions were too big. I always upload .jpg's at either 200x150 or 200x200. I think it says somewhere that those are the max dimensions. I have, however, been alerted that my FILE size for a thumb was too large and had to re-make the thumb with a little higher compression so as to get it in just under the 15kb limit. I use absolutely the least amount of compression on jpg thumbs that I can get away with to keep it from being blurry and the absolute minimum for the full size, 800x600 or 700x700 image. Paintshop Pro7 is what I use to make my thumbs and to convert my bitmap images to .jpg for posting - works great and is really easy to use. I, many times, will also apply the "sharpen" filter to my thumbs with PSP - first impressions and all that! You have to compress the thumb more when you do that, though, as it markedly increases the file size. Rick
Hi Trina The size limit for gallery thumbs, is 200 x 200 pixels. You shouldn't get a message to keep it at 100 pixels. Try the suggestions given by William and Rick, above. If you still have problems, post to this thread, and we'll help you through it :) From the gallery upload page: "Art images should be GIF or JPG format only. The full image should be between 100 x 100 and 4000 x 4000 pixels and be less than 512 KB in size. The thumbnail image (if supplied) should be between 50 x 50 and 200 x 200 pixels and be less than 15 kb in size." Nick

I have hadvisitors to my gakllery who say my thumbs are not big enough. When i post them bigger it tells me to keep to 100 pixels height. this seems to make my thimbs so much smaller than other peoples. Can anyone tell me where i'm going wrong. I have managed to increase the size of my actual gallery pic through trial and error, and they are bi9g enough now, but still stumped with thumbs. thanx in advance Trina [uk]
