Definitely strange. Looks like the saber was rendered in preview mode! I think we can conclude that rendering direct to AVI is broken in the latest P5. I've had some equally strange results, and some good ones, for no obvious reason. Separate images seem to work consistently OK.

I know, xantor, but I re-read it myself, and it seemed to me that someone might mistake it for SHOUTING. If only I knew how to add bold or italics.... You're welcome, pedrith. And remember: render the animation with display settings for quick tests, and try not to use full render settings until you're sure you're done. In cases like this, where you want to test the transparency or motion blur settings, try to do it on a lower resolution, like half of what your final resolution will be. If you just find yourself annoyed that you can't see the transparency in the test renders, turn the transparency off until you're ready for the final render. I do this a lot when I'm trying to animate transmapped hair.
Brainmiffin,
It's actually easy to add bold and italics here, just put in the usual html syntax and off you go.
That is < b > / < /b > and < i > / < /i > (without the spaces). Remember the /b / /i to stop it again ;o)
Don't use the "this message is in html..." checkbox, it's not needed to do this.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Hi. I just rendered out a short video of a guy weilding a lightsaber but when i viewed the clip the lightsaber and the guys hair was not rendered properly. The clip can be downloaded here: http://www.streamload.com/dlein/Rogue_Jedi_Saga. Select the mp4 file. (You might need quicktime 6 to view the file) I rendered the file using the production settings, and when I render individual images the renders were fine. Does anybody know what happened and how I can fix it? Thanks. Pedrith :)
