Hi all, I'm currently in the process of making an animated film using Vue Pro, Poser, Mimic and a number of other apps. I made a demo 5mb divx clip at http://www.angelfire.com/oh5/pmpworks/ . I would like to get some opinions good or bad on it. The clip was made with Vue 4 and is very low quality but like I said it's a demo. any opinions would be great. By the way, great site, I can't believe the amount of free content if I use any I'll be sure to give credit where credit is due. Thanks Again

you made a great work... maybe you can use more complex static model, like a realistic building in airport...

Thanks, Yes I need to get some more realistic buildings and props, I'll also be adding some effects with combustion for final rendering. Thanks again

That was great! That's much higher quality than many others I've seen. The changes in point of view are smooth and make sense to me, the viewer. I'd love to see more as you progress. Abby

Thanks, I wish I could show the higher quality render it's really amazing just to large file size for the net. I try to post progress along the way. I'll probably do some stills at high quality to give you a better idea at what I'm doing. Thanks again

It looks interesting! I agree with rodluc it needs some more details (buildings, terrains, trees, textures...) With work it will be good, like abbymorgan said it is already better than others I've seen! I think you have made animations and now you are adding details to environment? Maybe the water needs to be more wavy.

Ok sounds good I'll get some more detail involved in it, I have to start over anyway, lost my HD and everything on it, thanks Western Digital, anyway sound like great ideas.

Lookin good. I agree with the above comments about detail. I'd also add that you might want to get a good Mic and preamp for your voice work. As Terrence Walker (a successful indie animator if you don't know) Says: Sound is at LEAST 50% of your film. Otherwise I thought the camera work and editing were quite good. Personally I stink at pacing, so everything is just BANG BANG BANG hehe... looks like you've got an advantage there. I'm also glad to see I'm not the only one having trouble naming my movie. :D I've got 3 minutes in the can and still have no clue. Are you planning to use "Disk makers" to replicate your DVD by chance?

Watched it again. You really need to add some trees. Make every shot interesting to look at. Have some sun shining thru palm trees as the plane flies over. Make the setting around the airport more interesting... You'll be amazed what just a bit of detail will do.

Your absolutely right, the good thing is I lost all those files to a harddrive failure so I'm starting over I'll add alot more details now. As far as the audio goes that was just to get an idea, I can't stand to watch without audio. As far as Disk makers no, I'll replicate myself if I plan on distributing . The next demo clip will also be a little higher quality, got a network now so rendering is faster.
