Subject: adding text to images

Can anyone tell me how to add text to images in photoshop 7? I'm trying to create a story with characters speaking and cannot find any way of doing it. Any help is really welcome. Thank you.

Hey Morph, it's easy, in older versions there was a "text dialog box" that you typed into... now you can just select the "TYPE tool" click where ever you want the copy to go, and start typing. It will automatically create a new layer leaving your text editable...

here's an example using a simple word ballon shape (1) and some gag copy (2)

as you can see, each is on its own layer allowing you to move them around...

Oh, these sweet buggies! I just killed one of this kind yesterday... the poor creat clupped up to my head... or out? :-) Chat, chat, chat... How did you make them multicolored? Out of a shape tool? :-) They look yum :-)
