Please don't laugh too much. I just purchased Poser 5 and am totally new to this program. Where does one get the Vitoria and other characters? It may be a dumb question but I need help.... thanks

You can buy Victoria, Mike, and many other delightful items at Daz3D.com - have your credit card ready and be prepared to have it hit hard ;-)

That's where you'll find Victoria 1, 2, 3, Stephanie, Stephanie 3 Petite, She Freak, Michael 1, 2, 3, The Freak and more stuff than you can shake a stick at. Assuming you're a stick shaking kinda guy, that is.

Pick up Computer Art magazine, and there's a free copy of Dina on it..not Vickie..but renders surprisingly well in Bryce (apostate am I..;) as well as Poser. Daz has a free Sarah (sort of the Koshini-class 'cutie' models), and if you check Computer Art, Digit, 3d World back issues, you can get Lo-Res Mike and Vickie (Michael and Victoria) also for relatively free..
not to be left out, but Runtime DNA site has a free character or two, Sixus 1 has a bunch (and I'm very impressed with them telling where everything gets loaded into what directory, which is why I'm using them more than the ones that don't...hint hint..;)
There are hundreds of free characters out there..go by freebies and pick up a CD's worth or two..;) take care.

don't get the computer arts magizine for this month, Dina isn't on it. I bought it and it doesn't have anything related to poser.

Issue 96 (may 2004) of the computer arts magazine has dina with it, it also has some robots, poses, mad lab and others.

Issue 56 of Computer Arts Projects has Victoria 1 included on the cd and there's tons of free stuff for her still out there. Be a good way to get started with her cheap if you don't want to lay out the cash for V2 or V3.

Issue 96 is out in britain and has been out for a week or so.
