THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: I'm becoming VERY intensely vexed here....

One of my images has gotten seriously messed up. I can't for the life of me figure out how. I checked that the thumb and image went into the right place, I checked that the image itself looked alright.... is there something I did wrong here?!?! :( http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=674581&Start=1&Artist=Melansian%5FMentat&ByArtist=Yes

Melasian, I see an image a sort of mirrored abstract in hues of oranges and golden yellows with a verticle line down the middle of the image. Is that what you wanted?

I also see an image as described by Quest, appears to be very pixelated, I'd almost be tempted to ask if this is the thumbnail rather then the main image - it's only 5k in size and 200X134 resolution, yet displaying at much larger res (684x580) so IMHO something has gone screwy at the rosity end

Agree with the above. First check the image on your hard drive, make sure it looks like you want it to, and not like it currently does in the gallery. Try the edit button from your gallery page, this will give you what looks like the upload form, and browse only for the image, not the thumb. Then hit the upload button. This should load the correct image and not change anything else. You will probably have to refresh on the image page for the new image to take the place of the old one. Hope this isn't too confusing, and good luck.

Had this happen once when I uploaded a picture that was over the memory limit for the gallery. I reduced to 80% and reposted but it came out like I was looking at the thumbnail blown up to the main picture size. I agree if you reupload it should fix it.

Happens ALL the time. Try saving that pic, and then looking at it from your hard drive...it's your thumbnail, lol. When uploading, stay focused, lol...and look/remember which file you are clicking to browse for, and then be doubly sure that IS the one you are selecting. (because I have done this multiple times myself....) Yup, thumbnails get uploaded as the "main picture" ALL the time. AgentSmith

Btw, Melansian, in case ya didn't know; You can just go to your gallery, and under your thumbnail ther is an edit link, where you can re-upload you picture without having to do a new upload, unless that's what you want to do. Hope this solves your mystery! AS

Well, I don't know what I did... but after fiddling with it a bit, it decided to work. Maybe it's a birthday present.. shrugs (yeah, it's me birthday!) Thanks a lot, guys!
