Subject: Why Flickering Shadows in AVIs?

moushie ( ) posted Fri, 28 May 2004 at 12:40 AM · edited Mon, 27 January 2025 at 10:22 AM

Is there any way to avoid flickering shadows in AVI renderings?

A little longer down this page there's a similar question. Perhaps it's the same issue?

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

The lights might be animated, sometimes the lights can be moved when animating the scene and that can cause flicker. Switch off the animating for the lights if it is not needed in the scene.

Xantor: That's it! Switching off animation eliminates the flicker. I've no idea why, but thank you very much. Incidentally, increasing map size as suggested in the link above provided by ernyoka1, does not prevent flicker.

It is a problem I had when I first used poser, eventually I worked it out by myself.
