Subject: How can I turn several fullbody morphs and part morphs into a single fullbody m

orph? Took V3 injected a character pose, which added body part morphs and scaled body parts injected all chest morphs twiddled somathe chest morphs - gotta do it, you know. want one full body morph outa the whole mess. 'creating new body morph' doesn't work.

w character to be "solid" -- that is, you don't need to adjust it back to the original -- you can do this: Export the object file. Check everything except "Weld" and "As Morph". Put this OBJ file in the same folder as the original OBJ. Copy the original CR2 to a new name. In this new CR2, edit the two figureResFile lines to point to your new OBJ.

what happens when you 'create new body morph?

EnglishBob ( ) posted Thu, 03 June 2004 at 5:23 AM

Bobcat: 'Create Full Body Morph' takes all the non-zero morph dials in the figure and places them under 'remote control' of a single dial in the body section. Anything which isn't a morph dial is therefore excluded from this process, and scale dials are not morphs.

Further to Bob's post: Note that the Full Body Morph (FBM) dials in the Body actor are NOT "morph dials" at least not in in the sense relevent to Bob's post above. The setting of other FBM dials is not recorded when you save an FBM, only the settings of morph dials in the individual body parts. Internally to the cr2 (character file) an "FBM" channel is actually a 'valueParm' channel, it is used as a master channel, and slaving code is added to individual targetGeom (morph) channels to make them respond to settings of the valueParm channel. If you are brave and prepared to do a bit of studdy you could edit the cr2 in such a way as to slave scale channels and other valueParm (FBM) channels to some particular valueParm channel, but this could be a lot of work depending on how many dials you have tweaked, and is perhaps a bit ambitious for a first venture into cr2 editing. Slaving channels to a master channel is known as ERC which means "Enhanced Remote Controle" it is also sometimes called EMC. Rob the Whiz, Nerd, and VK, are some of the foremost experts in ERC, their web sites are good places to start learning about it. what it was right now.) Yeah, the character pose injected a bunch of custom body part morphs, and two or three full body morphs. A pose was include to rescale clothes to fit, along with a prop of magnets to adjust the clothes shapes. Didn't like the breasts so I injected 6-8 FBM's. Wanted 1 FBM for Tailor to work with. Bobcat: read your question different than Englishbob, when I create a full body morph, her head roughly doubles in size and her hips shrink. EnglishBob: Hi! And magnets, don't forget magnets. lesbentley: I've run out of things to say. Thanks again all! (Ockham, can you make a python script that will let me run scripts in P4? or maybe a program to run them and export the results in a poser readable format? If you can, I get royalties [first published idea {can't leave out the curlies |if you add this bar thingy it makes a palindromic emoticon when you close it all up. |}:])
