Subject: Product Code for Victoria 1 Low Res ?

mathman ( ) posted Sat, 05 June 2004 at 9:52 AM · edited Sat, 30 November 2024 at 8:04 PM

Hi all, Some time ago, I bought the VLR character, and I've been trying to locate her on my backups. Easiest way to do this would be if I knew what the product code was. I posted a search on the DAZ store, got hundreds of hits for Victoria, but couldn't find Victoria 1 Lo Res. If I knew what the product code was, then I could find her. Thanks in advance. regards, Andrew

Vic2lores........this is the one that I have. (:

mathman ( ) posted Sat, 05 June 2004 at 10:00 AM

Its actually Vic 1 lo res that I am after, it is a different product to V2LoRes..... When I say product code, I am looking for a code along the lines of "ps_pe030".

genny ( ) posted Sat, 05 June 2004 at 10:03 AM

Duh....I just realized that what I had was V2..I am sure I have that one too....? going to go check now. (: SOrry about that.

genny ( ) posted Sat, 05 June 2004 at 10:17 AM

Nope.....can't find it.....Sorry (: I guess I could use the name of it too? LOL! Actually, I guess that maybe I didn't download it...only because I was not interested in low res figures at the time. Oh well, sorry to waste your time on my postings.

I think it's been discontinued ... all they seem to have left in the store are the 2.0 Reduced Resolution figures. Victoria 2.0 Reduced Resolution : ps_pe030 Michael 2.0 Reduced Resolution: ps_pe035 Stephanie Reduced Resolution: ps_pe034

mathman ( ) posted Sat, 05 June 2004 at 10:28 AM

Even though its been discontinued, I'm still hoping someone can tell me what its product code is / was, please ?

ps_pe029 I went through my purchase history at DAZ, found the Victoria 1 Reduced Resolution figure, this is the product code.

Your link goes to V2 reduced res. Try the link for V1 reduced res and you get a "no such item" message.

Yup, I have the same thing as wyrwulf. I got VicLoRes when she was a freebie at DAZ ages ago. I thought I'd renamed the file, but since it's the same as wyrwulf's, perhaps that's what it was when I downloaded it. bonni

I just checked my archive: Victoria 1.0 DAZ#-ps_pe017 Victoria 1.0 Reduced Resolution - DAZ#-ps_pe029 Victoria 2.0 DAZ#-ps_pe020 Victoria 2.0 Reduced Resolution - DAZ#-ps_Pe030 I guess all that obsessive/compuslive file naming finally paid off ;-)

My question is whether Vickie Lo res 1 & 2 both use the same reference geometry object file, like Vickie 1 & 2. Is Vickie Lo res 2 the same as Vickie Lo res 1, but with a bunch of added morphs?

lhiannan ( ) posted Sat, 05 June 2004 at 4:27 PM · edited Sat, 05 June 2004 at 4:29 PM

mateo_sancarlos: Yes, same obj, blMilWomLo.obj. And just in case someone needs to know, V1RR (reduced res, that came with Mimic2 and possibly some magazines) uses blMilWomLoNG.obj. mathman: thanks for this thread. you reminded me that I have all those lo-res people hanging around my folders. I think I'll put them to use :) It's been a while.

Thanks everyone :):) Using "pe029", I was finally able to locate Vic1 Lo Res. regards, Andrew

This is the reason I always change the name of the file when I download it. Those product codes are useless to me. I always delete the code and replace with something like DAZ_VicLoRes.exe, or something to that effect. The coding they use all looks the same to me, so I'd never find anything I had archived onto CD's. It's saved my sanity time after time. Melanie

FishNose ( ) posted Mon, 07 June 2004 at 3:44 AM

Melanie, a better solution is - DON'T change the file name. Instead, put it in a folder with a descriptive name instead. That way, searches will get you hits both ways. I just did a search, found both Vic1LR and Vic2LR in my archives - both May '05. In the same month I also found: JimBurton's freebie SMV Lori Rev2 - even lower res than VicLoRes. And Xena's freebie Parris for Lori. A lot can be done with lores figures, that's for sure! This was also the month that Ken-1 started offering Vicki characters (free). :] Fish

...and Ken-1's VLR characters are wonderful ! ... not to mention his wonderful characters for Eve... that is why I started looking for V1-LR in the first place.
