This is a very cool original design Mrdodobird, quite unlike any piece of rolling stock I've ever seen. I really like it. I like "rundown places" and trains too. Oh, since you like rundown and decrepit stuff allow me to recommend the following site if you haven't seen it before. It's pretty cool and I think you might like it.Nice looking train Mrdodobird. Nice modeling too. Bryce booleans can be your friend for sure. I like modeling with booleans... just never have done much of anything worth posting really. That is a really cool site Danamo.

AÂ whiner is about as useful as a one-legged man at an arse kicking contest.
GREAT modelling, and textures, and an interesting site, think i may model one of those places.
Experience is no substitute for blind faith.

as far as I know..'steampunk' is only a few years old, if that..sort of futuristic equipment with obsolete-looking technology..I've seen it in reference to sci-fi novels, like The Peshawar Lancers, the Difference Engine, etc. It's a cool model, if that's not to fogy-ish..;)

It's a lovely image, Mr Dodo. But alas, that train ain't going nowhere (even when new). There's an engineering mistake. You have a rod going from the piston to the 1st set driving wheels(call that the driving rod), then a 2nd rod (slave rod) going to the next set of wheels. (Not sure about the technical terms for these things, but I hope you get my drift.) Trouble is that they are separate. After less than one revolution, the two rods will collide and everything will shudder to a stop. Simple fix: connect the driving rod to the slave rod (offset outwards a bit) and all will work...:-) Cheers, Diolma

Of course, you can't see all of that yet, just the train. MWHAHA!!!
(this my WIP to ever post! hehe) So please! Any ideas on detail? I'm just thinking about the train part right now.
