Without knowing it, I'd guess that GV is Glamourous Vickie

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.

I'm betting on GV = Burton's Glamorous Vicky If Lady Littlefox is there, you might want to include ISOP = Japanese poser clothing creator (http://iso.power.ne.jp/), half of JaTex pair MK3 = Kozaburo KyokoHair MK3 MPE = Mat Pose Edit freebie utility PLH = Poser's Little Helper MMST = Morph Master P4F = Poser 4 Female (P4NW) P4M = Poser 4 Male (P4NM) WW = Dark Whisper's Wacky World DW = Darkworld Designs PP = Poser Pro Pack P4 = Poser 4 or Poser Artist without Pro Pack DNA = RDNA UW = Thorne's Universal Wings DFM = Deforming Magnets MC = Microcosm And about 1/3 of the time you seen initials on folders along with product names, it is the artist's name. The other times it's the version of Poser or model name (as described above).

And Glamorous Vicky is a figure by herself or do her clothes fit V2, V3??? France

Glamorous Vicki 2 Set for V3 is a morphed figure created by Jim Burton and sold at DAZ. She has a custom shape and Joint Controlled Morphs. In the same sense that V3 clothing without morphing ability won't fit any V3 morphs, no GV's clothes won't necessarily fit a standard V3. I don't have her or any of her products, so I don't know how hard making fits is.

it's an "obj. to morph injection" utility for poser. http://home.online.no/~kjellil/Index-AllStuff.htm

And, I suppose, while we're at it: FUBAR = "Fouled Up Beyond All Recognition" SNAFU = "Situation Normal, All Fouled Up" (Feel free to supply your own definition of the F-word) :-)) Both of which are conditions I frequently get into when working with Poser. Cheers, Diolma

Wyrmmaster's models VV = Voluptuous Vickie MM = Massive Mike

Francemi ( ) posted Wed, 09 June 2004 at 7:21 PM

I have stuff for MM so is there a individual character named Massive Mike or what? France

MM could be millenium man (michael 1/2).

Francemi ( ) posted Thu, 10 June 2004 at 12:21 AM

Yes, I think MM means millennium man (in my libraries anyway) ;o) France

DOF - Depth Of Field

RHaseltine ( ) posted Thu, 10 June 2004 at 9:27 AM

Perhaps you should add some abbreviations to your definitions? (fig), figure as V3(fig) Victoria 3 from DAZ3D (art), artist as LLF(art) Lady Littlefox (tech), technical term as DOF(tech) Depth of field (file), file type as PZ2(file) saved pose file (stor), store as RMP(stor) Renderosity Market Place (app), application as UTC(app) Universal Texture Converter

Francemi: In ref to TP - yes this does stand for Trans Pond creations.

Francemi ( ) posted Thu, 10 June 2004 at 3:17 PM

Thanks mondoxjake. Now I have copied/pasted all the serious abbreviations in this topic to my textfile so it's pretty extensive. France

NYW = Nude Young Woman (a lovely model, with many clothes by Serge Marck, her mesh is the same as the Zygote Fairy, without the wings)

Phantast ( ) posted Fri, 11 June 2004 at 5:44 AM

... and I always thought it was New York Woman! Some of these are getting too obscure. "WW = Dark Whisper's Wacky World"?? Never heard of it. WW = Wonder Woman usually. As for MK3, this means "Mark 3" and can be applied to more things than Kyoko Hair.

Francemi ( ) posted Fri, 11 June 2004 at 5:45 AM

And where can we get the NYW? I didn't see her anywhere with that name. France

The NYW has been retired. Pity, because she had the graceful figure of the Fairy. You can still get the Fairy, and use the no-wings morph. IIRC, Steve Shanks or someone else also made clothes for her. Carolly

Thank you hauksdottir, I'll do that. France

Phantast - WW for WackyWorld is growing in use as Dark Whispers' characters grow in number.
