I'd be glad to put up a how to once I figure it all out. For those who want to see the easy way (it's a lot less complex, but doesn't have the overall control that I get with the method I'm working on now) to do this, try the following: 1) Open the image you want to do this to. 2) Add a Channel Mixer layer and then hit OK without changing anything. 3) Change the blending mode of the channel mixer layer to LIGHTEN. 4) Now, go back into the channel mixer and select MONOCHROME. 5) Now, by adjusting the R, G and B channels you will adjust how the color or B&W is applied to the image. Kind of fun to play with and you get to see feedback of each change you make as you do it.
