Hi guys/gals, Listen, I don't often post new messages, but I gotta ask and tell. First, what the heck is going on around here? I know SOMEthing about the "new owners" and can understand some changes. But what is all the complaint about? A minor banner ad in the free stuff pages? I didn't even notice it until I saw a post that mentioned it. The brains of internet users have all been conditioned to filter out all the ads and nonsense we are presented with nowadays. I've never clicked on a banner ad, and they don't bother me. If that offends you, I'm sorry, but I don't see what the big deal is about the banner ad in the FreeStuff. Secondly, I'd like to point out how much I like the Carrara/Raydream forum. We are like the suburbs of the hectic Poser/Complaint forums big city. We all know each other, we are a small group and friendly, so despite what goes on in the outside world, the first place I'll continue to check is the `ol Carrara forum. So what's my point? Community. That's what Renderosity is all about. Look at their banner ads sometime. :) 3d artists community. That's what Renderosity should be, not a place for people to make money, or to start flame threads. I don't know. Maybe I'm just a bitter, nostalgic old fool. Peace, Hoborg

You won't see me complain about advertising, have made a living by it for many years. Besides, I can "tune it out" real easy (except that damned monkey!). I agree that the RDS/CAR forum is cool.

I also agree...We are kinda in the subburbs. :) This forum is one of the best. We have little to no fighting and everyone helps. Its a great community feeling. EdgeNet owns Renderosity. Remember that EdgeNet has to earn revenues someway. The net isnt 100% free. Bandwidth can be expensive. :) The banners and Ads you see is a way to help fund this massive site. They also dont bother me one bit. I will click on a banner from time to time. Im glad you guys like it here. I do to. I'm going on my 2nd year working the RDS/Carrara forum and plan to stay around as long as needed. If you ever have any ideas for the site or this forum please share them and I will do what I can to help out. Best Regards, Clint Hawkin-Z GraF-X Carrara, Ray Dream, Poser Figures and 3D Add-Ons.

I agree with most said here, especially about the damn monkey. My ONE pet peeve with banner ads, which I feel strongly enough to support a ban about, is that no ad be allowed to flash at a ridiculously high rate, making a transition from "eye-catching" to "causes epileptic fits". Death to hyper-animated monkeys!! --
