Ever notice when you join most sites you have to agree to an agreement stating your age?It basically covers your ass legally if minors should join your site or view its content.Yet when you allow minors in and concerns are raised about adult content thenyou have problems that usually end with censorship and all the shouting in the world about freedoms and libertys won't change that.

So,being that these products don't violate any rosity TOS so long as there aren't images promoting them in an x-rated fashion...the matter must take another direction.Object all you want guys,but once a concern like this gets started you either take control and deal with it...or you give control to someone else to do it and then scream later because you disapprove.Censorship today is actually a hollow threat unless you do nothing when a valid concern like this is raised...then someone else will.

As for attracting kids...well,I don't think rotica's membership is overwhelmingly of the "minors" age group and yet everyone always says go to rotica every time an issue like this pops up.Just have an area for adult products that requires a seperate password and signing an agreement with no options for admittence if you're under 18...covers your butt quite nicely I think.

But,I really don't see a problem myself...just know exactly what will happen if you try to let a concern like this grow or just try to laugh it off and do nothing.

It does...I'm speaking of after they join and you know they're here...there have been issues like this on other sites and the end result was always censorship.Even here,before I joined apparently there was an adult area and so on...that all got removed though due to constant complaints even though there was an age requirement to join. To do nothing when a valid complaint is raised guarantees that while you may say do nothing...the ones who say do "something" will gain the upper hand. Again...I'm not in favor of doing anything as it doesn't offend me at all-but I know what will happen-its what always happens when people just say do nothing or laugh it off-then there is always an uproar after when something is done and they could have stopped it.

Poppi, I was a merchant before I was 18, if I remember correctly. I had parental permission to do so, of course. I first came to the site when I was 15-16 or so. I'm 20, now. If it'd been 18+, I'd have missed out on a LOT of stuff. Of course, I was pretty mature for my age, and had no issue with the stuff I saw, for the most part, unlike many 'adults' on the site were.

under the age of 18 one cannot enter into a valid contract. if your parents handled your affairs for you, that is a different matter. granted, some of us are more mature than others, at certain ages, but, seems to me, it would be alot simpler from a business pov to make this an 18 and over site, once more. look at all the forum hassles that could be avoided, for starters.

Well, the idea of making a special Freestuff place for R and X rated items is a good one. It would get us rid of a good number of posts in the poser forum. (BTW, shouldn't this thread belong to the community forum ? There have been people here being very very upset at posts unrelated to poser being posted in the poser forum as of late). The galleries should be separated also. And also the market place. Of course, sex is not the only issue. There are people offended by violence or suggestion thereof (as in having pictures depicting someone showing off while being armed with guns or melee weapons). I'm one of them. There should be a separate freestuff and gallery for all those people that need to picture again and again the same stereotype of muscles, blood, boasting and slaughtering. And there is religion. How many threads have we seen over this one ? This is a truly offending topic, isn't it ? There is a "religion" category in the galleries, but it should really be separated from the other topics. And each religion had better be separated from the others... Heck with it ! Let's separate the galleries and the freestuff (and also the marketplace) into as many segments as necessary so that people can only look at what they want to see, and never be exposed to images, items, thoughts that are uncomfortable to them. Of course, there would not be any more point to call this a community. And it would have nothing to do with art either.

Yes, we certainly do see these threads a lot over the years (yes, I mean years, cause I've been around for quite a while). If it's a body texture, I'm not going to download it unless I see a version of it rendered in the thumbnail. I'm mostly on dial up on my laptop and so I need to know if I am going to be wasting my time on a download or not. Sexuality doesn't offend me at all.
