Like Michael I think this is excellent. I particularly like the tone and pose. However, I rather like the tattoo as I think, being a part of her and her character, it is important. The only thing that I have a problem with is the background which feels a bit disturbing. I'd have prefered a plain black which I feel would have balanced the composition more. Thats just me though, so don't take that too seriously. Once more, congratulations - this is fantastic.
Just one question? Have you been using a blur filter on her face? I ask this because the texture of the face doesn't correspond to the rest. Maybe it's just me... Very nice portrait though :) Weird tattoo :p

Nice pic! weird tatoo? What's wrong with the tatoo? OK. I think my eye automatically sees the tatoo as the final image because we scroll the image up. That and the fact that we are males in some cases so we automatically check certain things out. Personally I like the background. But I think it MIGHT lookbetter if you softned the background more. I could really be wrong though. As a final nit pick her check looks a tad bit blown out. That's it. Great tone nice pic sharp shoulders ( I think you should have used a larger feathering IF you softened things. ) and nice tatoo and background. Thumbs up!!! Bsteph
Thanks guys ... I really appreciate the feedback. Raven - But I do take it seriously. I listen to and digest all you guys say. Whether I personally agree or not, they are all valid points and give me insight into the image. :) As for the background, it couldn't be helped. Didn't get the main studio for this shoot, had to go with the secondary. Normally, I could have raided the background rack of the main studio, but it was already being used when I arrived and I didn't want to disturb them. 3D - There is a slight "glamour" blur to the skin ... first time I've ever tried doing that. B - Not really ... the softeness is from the depth of field. If you saw the original pattern of the background, you'd be surprised at just how soft the shallow DOF I used made it. :) Tedzo - Thank you ... that means a lot to me coming from the master of the Bathroom Studio and non-digital layers. manly hug Misha - She says yes she is, but I'm pretty much thinking you couldn't afford the price (both financially and emotionally ... hehehe ... oh oh, now I'm in trouble). :) Thanks again guys. There really are some excellent shots from our session. I've left it up to her as to whether or not I post some of them here. I am hoping that she will let me. Hopefully some of the comments here and in the gallery will help her decide. She did fantastic for her first time in front of the camera. Such a sweetheart. -=>Donald
