Subject: Tailor/ Conforming problem

lululee ( ) posted Tue, 29 June 2004 at 9:16 AM ยท edited Wed, 31 July 2024 at 6:15 PM

I have modeled a top. It fits and conforms perfectly. I added some morphs to it in tailor. Buxom, Pinup and voluptuous. When i conform it to the character there is no change in the new top. Even though the dials are in the top they don;t make it any bigger. Any help would be appreciated. cheerio lululee

Is it that when you turn the dials for each body part in the top that nothing happens? Or that when you adjust the figure morphs there is no change in the garment?

Actually, I just realized even if it is not conformed to the figure the dials do not change the shape. What's that all about? cheerio lululee

I think you have miss clicked something in Taylor, maybe saving before creating the morphs. Run it through again is all I can suggest.

Are you using P5 and a main figure that uses injection poses.
I've run into problems before where FBMs (Full Body Morphs) that were injected would keep the same FBMs on other figures from working at all (this was with Doger's Aeon girls).
I edited the injection poses and the CR2s for the clothes to get it to work the way I wanted, which was to have the clothes be super conforming.
However, loading a null into the scene first may be enough to stop the main figure from jamming the FBMs of the clothes.
Also naming the FBM something different in The Tailor should work as well

Did you use a V3 into which the morphs had been injected in Tailor?

lululee ( ) posted Tue, 29 June 2004 at 1:09 PM

I used the V3 Catsuit. Cheerio lululee

It seems that if I do the morphs individually they work. If I add them to the queue they don't work. That is odd. cheerio lululee

Should you not use Morphmanager when transferring morphs between two items of clothing? and the Tailor when tranferring morphs from a character figure to a clothing figure?

lululee ( ) posted Tue, 29 June 2004 at 2:57 PM

I have always used the catsuit before with no problems. It seems only to be aproblem when I have a number of morphs in the queue. I might not be doing the aueue thing correctly. cheerio lululee

I think the Tailor works by finding vertices that will interact with the cloth vertices when the morph is applied(Just guessing here), because the v3 catsuit is figure hugging the Tailor may well work, but probably not as well as a Morph loaded V3 would.

As for the queue, I think your supposed to transfer 1 set of full body morphs at a time.

You are lucky you know so much about this stuff. I appreciate you sharing this info with me. I am going to redo them with a Morph loaded V3 and see if that is better. cheerio lululee

It sounds like you're queuing up the morphs but then only telling the tailor to add the morph you've got currently selected. What command, from which menu are you using to tell the Tailor to transfer the morphs? When I queue things up, I go to the (this is from memory, so I may get the names wrong) "Create Morphs In Dress" option in the "Morphs" menu. That always gets all the queued morphs over (after a decent amount of time). Hope this helps, Unzipped

That is the same command I am using."Create Morphs In Dress". The dials show up but they don't move. If I do them 1 at a time they conform properly. cheerio lululee

Can you set the values for the morphs in the dress while you're still in the Tailor?
