Yo pickles! Go to UF and "Save Parameters" the default fractal that opens as "flie name" something like C:ArtUltra Fractal 3DataParametersFLAMES.upr where "FLAMES" is the file name of the .upr. (you're full path will probably be a little different than mine - the "Art"). Leave the name "Default" as the "Title". This will create a new .upr file in UF named "Flames.upr. Then, in Apo, "File", "Save Parameters" and give the flame a "file name" like C:Program FilesApophysis 2.0apophysis20-3.flame and give it a "Title" like Apo20 - 3 or something to match the number in the "file name". Then click "File", "Export UPR" and browse to your UF "Parameters" folder and select "Flames.upr" as the destination for the flame. Give it a title with a number that matches the number that you used in Apo so that you can find it later if you need to and add a description like "Apo20-3 - spiky spiral" or "Apo20-3 - looks like Rykk's big nose" :>) You can save as many flames to the upr file, "FLAMES.upr" as you want as long as they have different titles. Then you will only have ONE flame upr file in UF rather than a hundred. When you "Browse", "Parameters" in UF and select "Flames.upr", all of your flames will be listed in this file and you can select whichever one(s) you want to play with. You can delete the original, "Default" fractal that you saved to make this upr file. If you want to separate them by type, you can always create another and another .upr named like "Flames2" or "Flame Spirals" or whatever. Hope this helps! Rick

If you just want to play with one flame, here is how to get it from Apophysis to UltraFractal 3: Here is how to get an Apophysis flame from Apophysis to UltraFractal 3. Generate the flame in Apophysis and edit it until you are happy with it. On the main window for Apophysis, you will see on the 3rd line icons for a variety of things. The first is an open folder, the second a floppy disk ( open file, save file) and so on. One of the items is 2 sheets of blue paper, one on top of the other (copy as upr) To pick up the file you just created, simply click on that button. Open UF3. You should have a fractal window open. (usually this will be the default fractal, but any one will be fine.) Right click in the fractal window and choose paste from the popup menu. That's all...your flame will appear! It may take a moment or two, (or way longer, lol) so be patient. If it seems to take a long time, it may be that there are many iterations to calculate, and that is just the way that flames are. Have fun, try to eat and sleep occasionally!

Fractals will always amaze me!
