Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 26 8:04 pm)
Ok, here's something I dont understand, I changed my interface colors(nice egg by the way) and removed the figure wireframe image from the UI, I set my new perferred state, but the colors and figure both revert back to the original state. why is that? Also, I rechecked and you have 15 options for background images, the default acrobat posette, then the next 13 are different figures and poses, and #15 being a blank background.
Wow, what a night this has been. First, I never even noticed ever that there was a distracting wire-frame image behind my Poser window. Then tonight I found out I could change the color of the backgound! Then I have learned that there WAS a DISTRACTING WIREFRAME behind my Poser window. So I went looking for it- where the Hell is this? AHA! There she is! Then I did the ALT thing and first nothing happened. Then the poses flashed through and my background suddenly went back to Factory Default. My God! I LOST HER! So I went back and redid the blue background- and now, how do I get back the distracting wireframe? (hey, pass that over here...)What if you could press @#% and suddenly Poser 4 became Poser 5 with built-in MAX plug-ins. Now THAT would be a real good Easter Egg.
I just found another Easter Egg in the Poser Forum! I opened up a second browser window to check another site, and when I closed it and came back, FastTraxx's name in his first post was Bright Blue! No S**T! I'm not kidding. How did that happen? Maybe the new upgraded Forum software is loaded with hidden Easter Eggs and we just need to look for them...
FT. I'm using the 4.03 update. And the color stays where I set it. It tries to launch in the default color. But halfway through the starting proceedure. The color changes to what I set it to. So it must be stored in the prefrences somewhere. I had to delete the new shortcut that the 4.03 update added and make a new shortcut pointing to the poser .exe file. Then all my UI settings stay where I put them. I'm not sure if you need update 4.03 to use this color option or not. But I wouldn't think so. ScottA
Scott, I dont know why, but it wont keep the new prefrenxces when I set them, Ive even gone as far as changing the attributes on the prefrences files and try to resvae the perferred state. Im using the 4.03 patch as well. Using the shortcut doesnt work, and starting Poser directly from the POser.exe file doesnt seem to do the trick for me either. Ken
The manual is hard to find things in. The index doesn't necessarily list things in the way I would look them up. They don't always call things by a reference I would think of. Some of the things aren't listed in the index at all. The manual is hard to read and not always clear on what it's trying to say. I haven't read it all, either. It's makes a great door stop. A lot of us have bought the 3rd party books because they give more info than the user manual. Melanie
everyone should know that egg. It's in the manual. Or at least I remember it in the P3 manual. Hey I'm looking for anothert hidden feature. A while back I read a post that said if you alter on of the lines in a poser file. You can inport animated backgrounds. I never tried it but now I want too and I cannot find the post. Does anybody know?

ok, everyone knows about that distracting wireframe image on the background of your interface, and Im sure all of you know you can click and drag her around the interface, but did you know that if you hold down ALT and click her, it will cycle through wireframe images of several different figures in different poses? Not only that, you can remove her completly off you interface. Ken
