Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 23 7:38 pm)
Double click on the the camera property icon, first icon, top right corner of your scene window. That always makes it reappear for me. I don't know why it happens but it does to me all the time, no rhyme or reason, although I'm sure it's something I've done and not realized it.

The window you're referring to is called the Parameter Dials window. Anytime you lose it on your screen for whatever reason, you can always get it back easily by simply going up to the "window" text menu, and clicking "Parameter Dials". A check mark will appear next to it's name, and it will appear on your screen again.
OR... you can use Shift+Ctrl+N hotkeys to toggle it on and off.

If you're new to Poser, here are some suggestions: 1) Which version of Poser are you having trouble with? The screen shot in d-larsen's post shows Poser 5. But, are you using Poser 4? Granted, the command is the same: Windows, then hide (or show) Paramter Dials. 2) If you want even better help from people, posting a message with a more descriptive subject line will get you much better replies. "OMG Help" will not get the same responses as "Help- the head controls don't appear". 3) Restarting the computer will not cause a program's settings to magically change. When you show (or hide) a palette, that information is saved when you close the program. Restarting the computer (then restarting the program) only reloads your previous setting... which was to hide the parameter dials. If the program is "dumb" and doesn't remember your preferences, then you only need to close and re-open the program to reset the settings. There's no need to completely reboot your computer.

Do you know like when you clock on a characters head or something, it brings up the window with the dials so you can adjust the part? Well all of a sudden for no reason at all.. the dials will not show when I click! I have tried everything from showing all windows to restrting the computer.. nothing has worked. Whats going on? :(
