yea i was wondering if there is a way. to input background sounds from a .midi keyboard or use a virtual keyboard. Into poser 5 in real time. add sound effect useing keyboard midi piano .mid keyboard .etc so i can add sound effect a whole lot easier. some way to inport sounds from virtual piano (keyboard) ?? Like some way to link the inport sound in poser 5 to my virtual piano (keyboard)? so that when i keystroke it will inport sound ? I know it an odd question . But it be sweet if that option was avaible.

The only sound that I know Poser will deal with is a WAV file that you can load when doing animations although there was a freebie Calliope with played a midi file through a python script. Search the freebies for Calliope.

Look at the files in ockhamsbungalow.com/MIDI and you'll see several different MIDI uses. But my MIDI stuff is all based on reading .MID files to control a model instrument inside Poser. This is sort of backwards from what you're proposing. It's an interesting idea. How exactly would you want it to work? Set Poser to a frame, then hit a key to insert a sound beginning at that frame?

a sound beginning at that frame? ) but also maybe have a few settings for sounds like : words per minute setting like FPS or tempo speed. also be able to create mutiple sound layer effect per frame with option of volume on each individual sound layer created. basicly you'll have your animation timeline . Then have lets say 3 seperate sound effects timeline. Then you have your normal background sound input. Also Mimic .

I'm working on a large sound-effects script. It won't be free, but it already does a lot of what you're mentioning. I'll see if there's a way to include direct MIDI input with this script. ------- On the telegraph: The text file needs to be in the same folder with Poser.exe. Then you can just put its name (no file-path) in the blank. (I wrote that script a long time ago. Since then, I've figured out better ways to pick up a file!)
