Subject: Just saying "hi" and a little bit of bored whining. :)

I've been poking around the fractal galleries and just wanted to say hi to everyone out there. So, "HI!" I just wanted to tell everyone thanks for making this such an awesome place to post and look at stuff~ I've been in a creative rut for a while now and things are finally starting to look up~ in many respects due to the amazing amount of inspiration in the galleries. Unfortunately, they're starting to get a little too good~ what do you do when EVERY SINGLE gradient you apply to an apophysis flame seems to look great? (I know this doesn't happen very often, but when it does its CRAZY~ especially when you're sorting through hundreds of gradients.) Probably wouldn't ask except for the fact that I'm bored and have entirely too much free time on my hands for the next few days. That being said, I suppose I could render them all..... Anyways, now that I'm sure to be labeled as the group nutcase I'm gonna go back to playing with triangles. "The devil finds work for idle hands" and all that~ Lord knows what I'd be getting myself into if it weren't for my computer. :) Thanks for listening to (watching?) me rant. :) Lizbeth

<> time to try something new perhaps.. challenge yourself to make an image totally unlike anything you would normally do, maybe even a different program.. or an image that has unpleasant or discordant qualities but still interesting. find a new space to work in.

What I do when a bunch of gradients all look good on a flame is ask my wife, Joie, whose taste and artistic eye are impeccable....then, like any guy, I pick the one "I" like! lol
