That's really sweet Sharen! What a different look than what I've seen of GIRL so far!

Blazerwiccan ( ) posted Fri, 06 August 2004 at 10:01 PM

Ohh wow she looks just wonderful here. Wish I could afford her, maybe at a later date. Your image looks beautiful.

So... you're really impressed with GIRL? What about her packages? Would you consider GIRL to be worth buying and/or the packages as well?

Very special render. Great that you achieved a total different result! The pose looks familiar to me ;-)

Umm nothing special, two minutes max, pose was just dropping her arms and the angling one just right to cover the "you know what's"

SAMS3D ( ) posted Sat, 07 August 2004 at 3:55 AM

Oh yes, that is the pose that comes with one of the packages....and as for the question, very impressed and well worth the price, the bundle is great and I really like all the clothing styles. Sharen

oliveramberg ( ) posted Sat, 07 August 2004 at 4:00 AM

I meant the afro-hairstyle and the cyclorama-background which kinda doesn't fits but fits. If you know what I mean. I noticed that it's a quicky ;-) (just like mine)

-Yggdrasil- ( ) posted Sat, 07 August 2004 at 4:01 AM

From what I've been seeing, some of her extras don't seem to be quite ready yet.

Message1877524.jpgWhich is a shame, really. T.T

SAMS3D ( ) posted Sat, 07 August 2004 at 4:07 AM

Are you using her as GIRL with V3 UVS, I think that is why that happened. Sharen

-Yggdrasil- ( ) posted Sat, 07 August 2004 at 4:10 AM

Hmmm... that's a good question. I'll ask him. Just out of curiousity, though... why would it really make a difference? Shouldn't her catsuit conform well to all of her body forms? Be right back... I think he's still awake/around.

Ummm This one is using Girl with V3 UVS...

SAMS3D ( ) posted Sat, 07 August 2004 at 7:16 AM

Well, hmmm, then I just don't know....I will have to try it now. I know that when I applied her textures to her face while using UV's for V3 that the above happened to her face, then when I loaded just GIRL up and used her textures they were fine. Sharen

Jcleaver ( ) posted Sat, 07 August 2004 at 7:21 AM

Unfortunately, it seems to me that the catsuit has problems with GIRL, at least the standard GIRL. I haven't tried any of the others though. I heard they made some last minute changes to GIRL, I wonder if they broke the fit of the catsuit in doing so. Unless there is a fix, I won't be using the catsuit very soon; and may ask to return the bundle since the catsuit is the main reason I bought the bundle.

SAMS3D ( ) posted Sat, 07 August 2004 at 7:22 AM

Oh, no....this can't be good...hopefully they will update the catsuit....wonder if anything else is off. Sharen

steveshanks ( ) posted Sat, 07 August 2004 at 7:38 AM

I'd bet thats the JCM not kicking in on the catsuit....Steve

elizabyte ( ) posted Sat, 07 August 2004 at 7:43 AM

The Dress for The Girl doesn't work right in Poser 5. Again, it's the JCMs. It's a bit easier to adjust The Dress manually (the problem is mostly in the breasts/chest area, from what I've experienced so far). I can't imagine how difficult it would be to adjust the bodysuit... I may be having to ask DAZ for a refund for the first time in many years... bonni

Apparently from what I am gathering, it is a problem in Poser 5 and GIRL and her clothing. The JCM's don't appear to be working in those combinations. " OK reading in the platinum club forum on DAZ seems the GIRL has problems in poser 5, seems they added some JCM's to fix cross talking issues in P4 but when loaded in P5 these JCM's break which is why you are getting the weird poke throughs on the clothing." - Nanoshi

I just tried the catsuite and it works fine (PoserProPack).

Ya, I switched over to Poser 5 and started seeing troubles, thank goodness I've got Poser PP in seperate directory

I had the same problem in P5 but fixed it with the help of 3dWizard. I am sure there will be an update next week for those who bought the catsuit.

If you want to fix it yourself you can do the following:

  1. make a copy of the catsuit Cr2 and rename it that you won't overwrite the original

  2. Do a search on Figure 1 and replace with Figure 2

  3. Do a search on :1 and replace with :2

  4. Do a search for JCM - scroll down until you find Figure 2 and replace with Figure 1 and the listed bodypart ie lcollar :2 and replace with lcollar :1, Search for all JCM and replace the figure number and number on the bodypart until WordPad or any other texture editor tells you that no more JCM are found in the document. Close and save.

That fixes it. Additionally you have to set the bodymorph KneeThin and AnkleThin on the Catsuit to 1 to get rid of the poke through on the knees. the Girl loads with these morphs set to 1 by default.

I know that you are not supposed to fix it yourself when you paid for it. I just thought that might be a little help for those who can and will do it and have the catsuit working properly until DAZ gets an update to you.

mmmmm... is that something we need to fix on the boots from the clothing pack as well? I found poke through on them, as well as having issues when rendering with them transmapped to go below her knees. The 'hooks' still show up on her thigh and higher though they shouldn't and I am no good at manually editing mat files to fix that sort of thing. Guessing it'd be the same idea as the fix for the transmaps for the bodysuit, but eh. Hopefully all these things will be taken care of by DAZ asap.

catlin_mc ( ) posted Sun, 08 August 2004 at 11:38 AM

I had the same problem with the boots. When I set them to be ankle high you could still see all the straps right up her legs. 8(

Please, I don't have a clue about fixing CR2's. Also, I'm using Word Pad. Does anyone have a working, fixed cr2 that they can share? thanks
