This is going to be a long post, so bear with me. I think I have gotten it all figured out now, please correct me if any part of the following is incorect (all comes from detective (defective?) work, but I'm not Sherloc Homes)- You may have heard: You can't use Michael Poses with Vickie Michael needs the latest Poser patch (else he will have hand problemns) Some people have been complaining (me, anyway) about "bent fingures" with Vickie, others never seem to have noticed. Here is the story, as I've been able to figure it out: Poser has some kind of problem that caused Vickie's hand to have kinks in the fingers. To fix it, Zygote built in translations in X and Z into some of the finger joints to "fix" this problem. In the latest Poser Patch (which I think is 4.0.4), Curious Labs fixed the offset problem. Michael does not have these translations, thus Michael will not work properly in earlier versions of Poser - AND VICKIE WILL NOT WORK CORRECTLY IN THE LATEST VERSION. But wait, the story gets even weirder! I fixed the CR2 manually, but I found you don't have to do that - all you need is to apply a non-translated Pose file to the figure, one of Michael or even the Posette (she has all the parts that matter in common), and this will fix Vickie's bent fingers for the new version of Poser, however the reverse is also true - once you have a "fixed" figure, you can't use any Vickie poses (even the ones Zygote furnished) else you will put her right back in the previous "bent finger" condition. You can, (I think) use any poses saved in the newest version, however, as this version doesn't save transitions! Got all of this? Are we confused? Why hasn't Zygote or Curious Labs ever mentioned this?

O.K., on further investigation: The "applying a non-translated pose" to fix the problem doesn't work, unless you start out with a edited CR2 file. Poser 4.0.4 does save the transition, I was mislead because they don't work unless the CR2 file has been edited (the Vickie CR2 are in effect "locked" into the transitions. I've made a "corrector" pose file that will fix the corrected Vickie figure back after applying a "uncorrected" pose - it has been hand edited to only effect the transitions (which are otherwise not part of any pose, anyway. I'll put a corrected CR2 for Vickie and the "corrector" pose file in Freestuff this weekend. The deal is to fix the offset finger problem Vickie has in the latest version of Poser you have to use the new CR2, then if you use any Vickie pose file that wasn't made from a "corrected" Vickie you will have to apply the "corrector" pose. Are we even more confused yet?
