Hey People, After catching up on some reading of differnet Groups I may have an idea on the next Carrara. Antione C has been speaking quite a bit about Photom Map Renders (such as MentalRay for Softi age) It is my thought it maybe some thing Carrara can look foward to in the next version. Just a thought a mental ramble.

I have seen talk like that also. Actually it has disappointed me. I sort of think that for the time Carrara's render is ok. I think they should be concentrating on their modeler rooms. I would like to see them majorly reworked. I also would like to see them dump a few hundred hours into animation...I really really wish they would get bones working...sort of dumb you have to wait for a 3rd party to do this. Actaully I am getting a bit worried. I decided a few months ago that if a new owner wasnt announced by the end of the year I was going to move on...they dont have much time left and I see that Truespace is coming out with a new version. I am guessing that I will always keep using carrara..after all some of its wizards for text, landscapes, etc are awesome. I just am ready to move forward and I want better software...COME ON UPGRADE :)

Yeah, all there seems to be is talk about tommorrow for Carrara, but never anything definite. and this has been going on for close to a year. Talk is cheap, results matter.
