Subject: Advices for powerShot A40

Hello, I use a Canon PowerShot A40 as I work for a newspaper and I've several problems with it. First (but not least !) I don't have the owner's manual. Could someone give me a link where I can download it, or send it to me by e-mail (.doc or .pdf or even .jpg) ? It would be better in French because it's my mother tongue. Second problem (related to the first) : when I use this camera to make indoor photos, I often get big black squares instead, because the flash is not very powerfull. Could someone indicate me settings that would help me ? Thank you, Sam

Hi Sam ...I used to have the Canon Powershot A40...and I suggest You go direct to Canon in France....[http://www.canon.fr/] ....ask there for the PDF Download...I am sure they will help....I too noticed that the Flash was very limited....and preferred inside Photos taken without the Flash. Good Luck!

I searched on Canon France and did find nothing... I mailed and I'm still waiting (but it was only this morning) Which settings do you use when shooting without flash ?

Arrrrrrgh...I have no idea...it was so long ago...and I have Deleted all Memory from My tired old Brain....hopefully, a Canon PS 40 User will assist. So....open a Bottle of Beaujolais and hope someone answers soon :]
