this dutch/belgian young lady is using fractals from wellknown artists to make her 'own' ... i dont think she asked permission to do so

Oh wow yes she certainly is some of those artists do not allow permission , some do but certainly not the change them she even has one with the artist name on it. Amy Brown I saw Boris Vallejo's work Jim Warren , disney tinkerbelle , Jeffrey Bedrick , Mary Elizbeth Baxter fairy's dang a list a mile long let along some fractal backgrounds that are from some of the artists here.. most of her site now is over band width would be interesting to send her an e-mail. :) Thanks for the heads up.. lol as soon as ya place a comment there which image she stole from what site, she deletes it i placed a comment underneath a design she manipulated from digital blasphemy and said it is not allowed to use that image without the artists permission, and now she took it off harmen

I saw the one that was a poser angel right on the front page think I'll pay her another visit be interesting to see what she does when I'll be asking for quite a few to be taken down..On some of these artist I know them well since we do have permission from them to used their work as stationery on our main site some however an absolute not. I have a feeling she just may be closing down her site if not well I won't say here lets just say she got one very long e-mail from me. she now knows what the word copyright infringment means and legal consequences :)

Yup....the backgrounds are definately not hers. At least Four of them that I have seen so far. All those little sublogs too. They appear links to other pages...but it is all the same.

lol as soon as i put a comment on there saying thats being stolen, she either takes the pic off or deletes the comment, well a warned person counts for two, i'd say, so best write them original artists an email telling them about her rip offs

I did notify all the authors I knew of. I am also not sure about anyone allowing their art to be 're-worked' like that. Yeah....I saw that little statement. Right.

yep thats another reason why I went ahead and made a few comments on them pointed out to her again it was still stealing and she might as well close down her site until she could get permission but we know she can't get their permission not for what she is doing to their work. Which artists do you still need to contact maybe I can help on that end thanks Carolyn

Hi everyone well this person has an e-mail from Boris and Julie to take down their art work and she still has them up I've asked her many times to take all her images down even gave her names of the artist obviously she is not telling them the truth since Jonathan Bowser gave her permission all though he doesn't even recognize his own work. Some one else has also left her a message about international copyright laws.. look its all being taken care of now, and of course, everything is dutch, it's our native language smile so no worries good day, Harmen p.s. just point her out in an private email please which works she has to remove, she doesn't have to be burned like Jeanne d'Arc for something she didn't know in the first place or didn't have the intentions to do so .. besides many webpages contain items which are copyrighted, but used so very often that it is considered to be public domain so a lot is seen through the fingers :-D

No frankly I've done all I'm going to do, its now up to the artists themselves and I did leave a message under each photo so she pretty well knows like you said no need to continue when she just didn't know better. Heck I bet if someone went through our site with a fine tooth comb there would be something there that we didn't recognize. It's all part of being on the net. Not that I condon it never, it is wrong but for for me its over.. Have a good day

Quite frankly, I don't see the issue here. I mean, you give off the impression of wanting to share your work with others, yet once it slips through your fingers and you see it appearing on someone elses website you start whining about copyright and threats of legal consequences. It's undignifying to hear this from people who are supposedly artists. I mean, unless you view this website as an immediate threat to you or consider her a competitor cheating in some contest for recognition, I don't see why you would waste your time trying to get her to delete these images. Just my views and an angry finger waving, you may ofcourse disagree.
