Subject: Vue 4 tree textures

Vue 4 Newbie alert (non pro version)... I have managed to get several maple trees into a scene. Now how can I change the textures, leaves, bark, etc for each of the them individually? Say I want tree one to have a different bark than the rest? Thanks for any help!

Hmm, for the non pro version this is a pain...the only way I've found is to edit the textures as you create the individual trees in the material palette, since you can't select the individual materials of the individual trees in the non pro version. Once you have a group of them in there already though you cannot edit the individual materials, again, only in the non pro version.

Say it isn't so nano! That's down right silly willy for a 199 dollar piece of software. Maybe in version five? Thanks for the info!

Fuzzy...what I do is this....I load 1 tree...change the leaves/bark(in the material editor up top)...save object as a .vob...that way I have that tree saved forever. This way I don't have to keep changing the materials while WIP. I'm using the Vue4.2, by the way.
