The problem with Organica is it's so simple it's complicated, if you can believe that. I've been asking for about 2 years if there will be a new version, they say yes, but never have announced or said more than yes. The problem is it has no constraining movement and the xyz directions are confusing as hell on such commands as mirroring. I have used organica to create all the seperate body parts for my creatures, then import into rhino to mirror limbs and teeth and I use rhino to reduce the mesh count. It works well for me :-). The only drawback that I find using Organica versus spline based modelling is that I have to allow "body part overlays" versus slicing a mesh. What this does is create a "segmented" rather than flowing body. It's not too hard to live with judging from some of my models. I have spoken to the makers of rhino and they are working on more mesh tools such as polygon mesh slicing....YAHOOOOO!!. I wouldn't mind working on it with you. I'm not sure how far detailed or close to original you want to go. In Organica it's pretty much eye-balled. You can import a background image, but that's pretty much it. The only other problem I face with a group project is time constriants. I'm re-working texture on several of my original figures (finally) and a joint project with Dendras on the Madlab. Davo
When you say detailed areas will be replaced, what do you mean. I'm not really great at spline based modelling at all, I would probably have a go at this in Organica and supply a head mesh. If that does not work out I don't think I'd be much help at all :-( Davo ps, can we take this email? I'm not supposed to be on the net during work hours, we have internet police if you can believe it. davids@esmcivil.com

A number of people have recently contacted me for information on obtaining the face hugger character. Apparently some think I may have created it, but this is Davo's creation....I only did some poses for it. Please note that this is NOT a free model....although it is so reasonable in price ($10.00) it is almost free!! Davo was the creator and you can order this model from the Renderosity store or Davo has a BBay page as well......I recommend getting the set of stasis tanks which come with the face hugger for only $15.00!!!! By the way, this is a fully poseable character and it is excellent!!! Krel
