Sharp bends at the knees and elbows have alway been a problem for me with Poser figures, especially the lower res ones, no matter what I tried (I call it "breaking up"). I just take care of it in postwork. I wish I knew a better way, Ray.
This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

Not sure what the pose represents (and I'm not making fun), but it sure looks like she's rolling dice.

"What I see is her in pain and despair thinking "why!?"" I see her pleading with her dog to stop peeing on the carpet. The translucency is coming out pretty good though. Without an underlying skeleton or translucency map, it's showing up in some undesireable places, but that's not your fault. Nice work.

I don't know how to pose better then this.. I use poser 3 and I haven't found any options yet on messing with how joints deform and such. I noticed the right foot was in a kinda not very healthy position.. I might try to fix that, maybe it helps a little.

Unfortunately, it's more bad Poser figure than bad posing (unfortunate in that it can't be rectified so easily). The basic Poser4 figures are quite limited in the range of poses they can achieve before showing the 'strings'. Standing room only, pretty much. The DAZ V3 figure is much better in respect of high angle joint bending. It's not just a case of more polys for smoothness; it's better thought out joint parameters. As for the pose, surely it's obvious that she's just dropped her dad's Fender off the stage during a naked thrash-metal performance.
no it's just that it's still in beta stage so you won't be able to just sign up yet. every month or so they give out invites to all their members. so we're spreading the wealth. chances are that when you login you will have 6 gmail invites waiting for you. send them to your friends, etc. and poor ardiva =(
well drac if you get more invitations to send plz send me one i like to try this 1gig email
for
some free stuff i made
and
for almost daily fotos
Gmail is great, I must say. My wife had a whack of invites she was handing out (here's where sucking up came into play, Rayraz :). So far I am quite impressed with the service. Its a hell of a lot faster than Hotmail, and Drac is right, a gig of space aint too shabby. Oh, and Drac? Thanks for the gratuitous crotch shot in your post. :)
The gig of hosting refers to the amount of stored emails you can have. Most free email services offer between 5 and 10 Mb, after which emails start bouncing. 1 gig should be enough to let you keep all your emails on the server forever. Just think, you can keep all the spam you've ever recieved...

Ignore the shooty dog thing.
I've never used Hotmail, 'cos my daughter has a Hotmail account and I go bananas checking her e-mails for her when she's away on tour - takes forever to open even on broadband, and there's always trouble opening attachments, and when people send her attachments they get bouncec back to sender etc. etc. etc. ad infinitum. I have two Yahoo accounts, each with 100MB storage, one I use for 'proper' e-mails, the other I use for signing up to sites that might spam me. Yahoo filters all spam out into a bulk folder, and automatically deletes it after a month. I have to say that I think it's a great service. It also has a Briefcase, where you can upload files into various folders, and set different access levels to, so you can share files. Very good if you don't want anything too sophisticated.
Rayraz - I've had that trouble with the disappearing polygons in Wings, and when I've brought Poser models into Wings. It happens, I think, when a poly has been pulled too far around for the vertices to be able to compensate. If you bring the model into Wings (if you can't see it when you import it, Select All then scale by at least 1000%). Then home in on the problem area (if you select a vertex in that general area, then hit A on the heyboard the viewpoint will pivot around that point) and start pulling the vertices around, and the poly will (should!) suddenly appear.
When you've repaired all holes you can export out as .wav object. edit to add - sometimes adding an extra vert can help as well

There are two obvious poser mesh issues here. The first is the breaking due to the over posing of the joint. That can be fixed with some serious point (vertex), edge or poly manipulation (I do this in Cinema for my poser imports). The second is that sometimes poser gets mixed up on the polygon normals. Such polys can seem to be not there in the editor but will show in the render. However tis abrupt reversal of the normals in adjacent polys may cause a discontinuity in the phong shading process. This can be seen by sharp discontinuities in the texture along a poly edge. Such polys can be selected and have their normals reversed in C4D. I have to do this on accasion as well. Post work is the recommended solution if you don't have a mesh editor. (Post work may also be faster sometimes as well.)
Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!
