Online Now!

Poser saves the cloth dynamics information in a file with the DYN extension, and this may be messing up your import since only one of them will be read. Try saving your characters to the Figures library, and then placing them together in a new scene. You'll need to recalculate the cloth simulation.

I know that Poser allows you to import PZ3s, but I never know what that feature is going to do, and I try to avoid using it. :)

As an alternative, you can save the dynamic clothing for each character out by exporting it as a Wavefront .obj file.
When saving as .obj, ensure that "as morph target" is not checked, and that "include groups" is checked. (I may have got the names of those options wrong, but they should be clear from the context).

The only real problem with this approach is that .obj files only save with a limited amout of material info, so if you are using any of P5's "special" channels (eg, transparency) or using any nodes, this info will not be imported. But as long as you export the .obj with "include groups" checked, you should be able to re-create them..

This will save a copy of the clothing in the shape calculated and at the place in the (Poser) universe where it was created.

In your current situation, I'd suggest:
Load the 1st pz3, export the clothing as a .obj, delete the clothing, then re-save the scene (preferably under a new name, just in case anything goes wrong).

Do the same for the 2nd character's scene.

Now import both new scenes, then import the two clothing .obj files.

All should fit.

Warning - you'll not be able to do any further changes to the clothing via the cloth room if the clothing contains any rigid/soft decorated groups etc. (because, again, this info is lost when exporting as a .obj file).

However, if you DON'T plan on changing the draping, then this method avoids re-calculating the cloth simulation..

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Diolma
