New conforming top & belt for V3 now available at http://www.oddditty.biz! The belt & top are in their own seperate zip files with objects & textures. Just unzip to your poser runtime and they're ready to use :-) You must complete the free registration at Odd Ditty Foundry to download. After registering, click on PORTAL at the top and then DOWNLOADS on the right of the home page. They are in the "Poser (Any)" section. Or, if you're all ready a registered member, just copy & paste the following URL's into your browser: For the Top: http://www.oddditty.biz/portal/index.php?page=4&action=file&file_id=7 For the Belt: http://www.oddditty.biz/portal/index.php?page=4&action=file&file_id=6 These are my first clothing figures. Very nice of you but why does one have to register? Thanks, Marque

Mercytoo ( ) posted Fri, 10 September 2004 at 10:02 PM

Because, in order to access the freebies at Odd Ditty Foundry, one must be a member :-) This helps us keep down on bandwidth. Just like to access parts of this site, you must be a member. I hope this is not an inconvenience. At this time, I have no other place to host the files.

PS - I do believe we're still running a deal where when you register, you get a gift certificate for $2.50 good on any item in the store as well. So, It's worth it to register ;-)

Sad, it wouldn't let me register. It said please correct when I entered my data, and it looked like it thought there were less than five letters in my password, so then I tried a 6 letter password but it still wouldn't work. Is it working for anyone else? Love esther

Hi Esther, I'm sorry for the problems. I'll let our webby mistress know ASAP. I did register earlier yesterday evening with another account just to test some settings and had no problems. Is it possible that you could send me a screen shot with the error? IM me if you can :-)

Looks nice mercytoo :):) Will have to get that as soon as possible :):)

As far as I can see, you can only register by providing full personal details, address, telephone, the lot. This is extreme and quite unnecessary.

estherau ( ) posted Sat, 11 September 2004 at 6:27 PM

I think I proviced all the details. I don't mind doing that. After all it's a free item so no one should complain. I'm off to try again. Love esther

Hi Esther, I don't think you're dumb at all! After you've logged in, there is a button at the bottom right that says Download. Hope this helps! Phantast, I'm sorry you feel that way. We're not going to send you things via snail mail. Odd Ditty is also a store, which is why we ask for the information. Many Poser stores ask for the same information. We do not ask for billing information however until you purchase. Again, I apolgise for the inconveniene.

Mercytoo ( ) posted Sun, 12 September 2004 at 5:04 AM

all right, to make people happy, the items are no longer a site link, I put them on my personal server. Belt: http://freebies.edalyart.com/V3Belt.zip Top: http://freebies.edalyart.com/V3top.zip I hope this is more convenient for everyone :-)

estherau ( ) posted Sun, 12 September 2004 at 5:57 AM

thank you. I'm sorry to cause you trouble. I probably would have found the download button eventually. Anyway now downloading as we speak. I agree with you about the address etc. Renderosity asked me for the same info I seem t remember. Definitely other sites have asked me that. (You know you could always make something up if you didn't want to divulge.) Love esther

You're welcome Esther. And, I agree! I've used a fake address at a few sites, LOL. Only to change them when I make a purchase ;-) (not that I'm condoning it or anything Whistles innocent like)

"Very nice of you but why does one have to register? Thanks, Marque " Registration is required for your convenience and our ability to effective monitor our bandwidth. Our site is now set up so that you only have to register once for both the store and our forums. This is done through the store, as that's pretty much the way the software works. It's no different than, oh, say, registering at Renderosity to download freebies. "As far as I can see, you can only register by providing full personal details, address, telephone, the lot. This is extreme and quite unnecessary." Since we do currently offer burnables that are shipped via surface mail, and because we anticipate offering additional shippables in the future, and in any event due to the software requiring such, that information is required. In any case, the information is retained in the database. Our privacy policy is followed strictly, and it is available for review on the site. In summary, it is thus: assuming you do not opt out of the newsletter (which we don't have yet, though maybe one day we will), the only time your info is used or even considered by anyone is when we need to contact you regarding your purchases. Should the software in use ever allow us to operate without requiring that data, we will consider doing so. It's still unlikely. in any event, the end result is this: to obtain the freebies hosted at ODF, you must register. To upload freebies at ODF, you must register (and yes, we will host files of 2MB or less). If one wishes to be semantically inclined, one could note that they are therefore not free, just as one could note about the same here at renderosity, but that's obviously not much of an issue since to read this you must have already signed up. TANSTAAFL, folks -- you get out of it what you put into it.

thou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. (Carlyle)
