Just playing with metaballs and reflective/refractive materials. These are resized down from 200DPI (2000x1400) to be viewable on a screen. I think it's awesome how metaballs blend materials, you can even weight a particular material by duplicating a few key metaballs... This first one is all reflectors (metals and such)... Thanks for stopping to look!

And this one, the refractors (glasses, waters...) I don't like the specularity thing on the second central metaball from the left, but I suppose stuff like that happens in Fake Life...

Interesting textures, a few of em look like dog crap LOL...I don't mean they are bad, but literally look like dung.

they look more like new potatoes to me just add some root sprouts lol, great test.

The back one's (in the 2nd pic), take out the blueish colors, and it looks a little like a potato. Beautiful mats! AS

rofl...snicker Oh, I know how ya feel. You never get the comments you imagine you'll get, or the ones you want. They never mention the part of the pic you are secretly most proud of. Yeah...poo & potato's. If it makes you feel any better, I meant to mention the "crinkley elbow" bump map going on in that first pic, it really is cool. Takes it away from the smooth/bald metaballs look. AS

I know you weren't being mean, Doug! I just thought it was funny, and text doesn't convey humor or sarcasm very well! Thanks for the comments, everyone... Oh yeah, AS... the "crinkley elbow" material is my secret weapon. DAZ keeps harassing me for the secrets of the Crinkley Elbow, but I won't give in... unless they send me a demo or something... yeah.. a demo...... Bryce 9 demo would rule...
