This is sad news indeed. I will keep her in my thoughts. Thanks for letting us know. -Lin
I lost my grand father to terminal cancer earlier this year. My thoughts to her and her family for what they are going through...

Oh my gosh, I can't believe this, she has been so close to me, I thought she was just taking a break....I must call her. Thank you for letting us know and my heart and prayers will be with her and her family. She is so brave and I am just sick about this, loosing her. I am just beside myself...Sharen
My prayers go out to her and her family. Altho I didnt know her very well, I have seen the kindnesses shown here.. I will write to her tonight, and maybe she can gather some comfort in the fact that she is very well loved by everyone here.

I made my very first steps in Vue following her tuts @ guitta.net..... I'm so sorry to hear this news.... I would like to believe to pray for her, but I don't. I only hope she could live her time in peace with her family and all the loved ones...... I don't know her as well as someone here @ R'rosity, but believe me, I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY sad :-(((((
Walther emailed me at work today and told me about Guitta's illness...I am almost lost for words. She was so excited to be truly retiring, and looking forward to working in her garden and spending time with her family. Her time as moderator here at the Vue forum was so incredible for so many of us. What a sense of humor, amazing patience, and skill at answering just about any Vue-related question we could come up with!! She also has a charm of her very own, which we see in her gallery, and a really amazing talent that I can only aspire to. She has done so much for so many people, that's real selflessness and generosity. I will phone her, and maybe try to get up there to see her, as I'm not far from Luxemborg. I'm so sad to hear of her illness, and hope that a miracle can happen for her and her family. I know she will be truly warmed to hear from so many of us at Rendero, and that so many hopes and prayers and good wishes are going to her.
This news made me very, very sad. :( Like many other members of our community I got to know Guitta as a wonderful person. She's always been so helpful and I can't remember how often she had a solution at hand when I was at my wits' end. I truly hope she'll win this fight and my thoughts go out to this unique lady and her beloved ones. Phil

Hello Everybody, I just wanted to share with you some bad news about Guitta Bertaud. Not having heard from her in a while, I gave her a call only to discover that she is very ill. She has a terminal cancer, with probably only a few months more to live :-(( As most of you probably remember, Guitta was the moderator of this forum for a long time and has always been extremely kind and helpful to all Vue users. I have to admit that I was extremely impressed by her courage. She is resigned to her fate. She says she is happy to have all her family with her, but that she misses Vue! If you would like to sent her a letter or give her a call, you can reach her there: Guitta Schmit Burghild Bertaud Ch 170 Clinique Zithe Sainte The Rue Zithe, 36 2763 Luxembourg Phone: +352 4977 64170 If you would like to call her, please remember that she is in hospital in Luxemburg (GMT +1). Luxemburg is 9 hours ahead of us, so if you are on the West Coast, 8-10AM would be a good time, I guess. (that's 5-7PM in Luxemburg). Guitta told me she would be very happy to hear from all of you. May our prayers be with her. Best regards, Nicholas Phelps, president e-on software.
