First of all I want to say that I LOVE her. She is one of the most beautiful models out there. Now to the problem, whenever I try to load the F-Top01 poser just closes down. It wouldn't be so tragic if it didn't take more than 15 minutes to open again. Anyone's having the same problem? BTW Are there going to be any new cloths for her? I'd love to make some clothing textures to support her. Niki

I don't know about the clothing issue, but if Poser takes 15 minutes to open, there's some things you can do about that.
First, make sure you have the latest service pack installed.
If you haven't already, kill Content Paradise. There are instructions on how to do so at Poser Pros, stickied in the Poser 5 forum.
Then move most of your content into external runtimes. Poser parses the main runtime when opening, which can take a long time if you have lots of content in it. You can speed up some more if you create a runtime with nothing in it, and switch to that before closing. (I personally haven't found enough benefit to that to do it regularly, but some people have.)

Thank you for the suggestions FyreSpiryt but unfortunately nothing works. I've got the latest service pack, I killed Content Paradise and I've got 6 external runtimes. My loading runtime contains only the textures, Geometry and injections folders because I got tired of relocating them all the time(You think that's the problem, maybe if I moved them also it would work faster?). When it finally loads it takes almost 5 additional minutes to load one of the 6 runtimes. There's nothing I can do about it and unfortunately I find myself opening Poser less and less every day that passes. Short of getting a new faster computer I think that I'm doomed. Niki

For Windows users, if you're still using a FAT filesystem, try running a defragmentation utility.

Seeker maybe you have deleted some files that you shouldnt have from runtime, you could try reinstalling poser 5 and then the service release but dont delete anything first, that way you will keep all your runtimes and stuff that you added.

Its no help, but I have had the exact problem as well, that blasted top apparently freaks poser out. I've been able to reload it eventually.

I'm positive that I haven't deleted anything from the original runtime installation. I'm running P5 on XP with NTFS and I defrag the disk regularly. So you don't think that by also moving the geometry and textures folder it will help to increase the speed? Anyway I'll try loading the top again. Thanks for the suggestion guys Niki

Theoretically, moving the geometries and textures shouldn't; Poser only parses the libraries.

The problem with F-Top01.cr2 is this: the morph targets provoke a crash in either P4 or P5.

Solution: With MorphManager extract all morph targets from F-Top01.cr2 and save them as OBJ, strip all morph targets from F-Top01.cr2 and save it, open F-Top01.cr2 in your favorite Poser, manually load all morph targets and save it as a figure.
