The good news is that more clothing, textures and poses have been released. You will find them in the Daz Original and Published Artist's Forum. Shorsha and Throne also have released an updated Pookling set with wings. I'm looking for the Prom night set and the fantasy set when they become available. As for the Aeon Figures... Someone mentioned that they don't take face morphs too well. Funny, I was able to apply the "Arwen" morph which is located here with no problems whatsoever. Then again I'm also using AEON figures to learn how to convert clothing. To repeat an earlier comment... No one is twisting your arm to buy this. Right now, DAZ, Dodger and Sixus1 are the only three that have Pre-teen or younger figures on the market (that I have found). I held off on buying the original Pre-teens because I was not impressed. I like these new models.

Can someone please post a whole body shot of the pooklings? And are there clothes for them now? Thanks Marque

One thing that's a little odd...these characters are called teens or young teens. But they're the same size as the old preteens. Why not make preteens again? Dave and SP make decent-looking teens, with a few dial tweaks, so I'd prefer younger kids. Can you make these new MilKids look younger?

I bought them (and I'm no noobie and I don't particularly think I let myself be led by the nose, although, hey I could be wrong).

They bend better, absolutely. Some of the M2 expressions also give very natural results on Laura (haven't played with Luke at all yet). Much more realistic and less caricature-like than a lot of expressions, although there is a slight difference (but it's pleasing).

But yeah, DAZ could do something about the last 2 animal releases; and hell could freeze over.

well, i did the mistake to comment on the "boxed" versions of the Millenium teens... who the heck does their promo stuff?? and yeah., seeing all the pics here have changed my opinion of the mill teens.. it's just that on the product page they look a bit like midgets and not really teens, but the new renders i've seen with them show otherwise. thanks for all the info and feedback!

I don't have any trouble applying V3's head morphs to the Aeon kids. They work. They just don't look that great.

This is Mary, the Aeon adolescent girl. The Arwen morph looks okay, but not really very child-like. The second image is the HdJapanese2 morph at full strength. Interesting, but it looks more like a grandmother than a child. The last image is the HdJapanese2 morph at half-strength. Better, but still not very child-like. There are very middle-aged looking bags under the eyes.

I also end up with odd bumps in the cheeks with many head morphs, even applied at very low strengths.

I think this is just the natural result of heavily morphing a figure. DarkWhisper's Teresa character is the same. Looks great "out of the box," but the face doesn't morph well.

So has anyone else had trouble installing the .exe version? I know of at least two people that get a no required content error. The ad says you need either the Millennium Girls or boys but not both. We both have just the girls and are trying to install to Poser 4. Since it's the weekend I don't have much hope for a response from Daz... ---------- I have another young girl for the Millennium Pre Scool girl in the works, Meagan, for those who expressed interest above in something younger looking. I will post a WIP picture to the Product Showcase forum shortly.

WEll, Randym. The best I can tell you is to head over to PoserPros. Dodger has a private forum setup for support and other goodies for Aeon figures. I'm just learning myself. Anna is the Pre-teen so having more adult like feature is not a big deal to me, especially with Mary and Raphael available. Here's one I did with the Arwen Morph, Older Morph set to ".5" and the 3Dream Ponytail.

Nah, I think I'll just buy these new kids. Built-in ethnic morphs, no fuss, no muss. :-) And it looks like they'll have a ton of support.

Ingrid, did you move any of the MilGirl files? DAZ's installer might not be able to find it if you did.

If that's not it, try posting the question at the DAZ forums. Even if DAZ isn't open, there are often people who can check these problems hanging out in the forums over the weekend.

HandspanStudios ( ) posted Sat, 23 October 2004 at 8:26 AM

randym77 No, the files are where they installed to. Poser is not on my C drive but that shouldn't matter. I haven't had this trouble with any previous products not finding the files.

Try posting a message in the DAZ forums, if you haven't yet. The Commons would probably be the best place, since it gets the most traffic. Someone there may be able to help you, even though it's the weekend.

AntoniaTiger ( ) posted Sat, 23 October 2004 at 9:52 AM

Could somebody post a comparison between one of the standard Poser figures, Posette even, and one of these new ones? No need for pushing the nudity limits, either. I get the impression that these are a resaonable shape for somebody around 13-14 years old, and you could make an OK older teen, but there are some growth spurts affecting height as well.

Letterworks ( ) posted Sat, 23 October 2004 at 11:52 AM

I had the no required content message until I realized that the default folder the installer was looking for the content in was for POSER 4. I hit the search for Poser button and it located my P5 folder. After that it installed smooth as silk. mike

Thanks, it's working now.

After reading this thread and watching the last picture, I know what's my opinion is: No needfull things I had to buy in the next few weeks.

With a little bit dialing on the Morph controls and my old MillKids... and the lot of clothing I bought... I think I'm happy enough.

Poserworld already has a clothing set for Laura up and a pair of pants to fit both. I just purchased a character set and a clothing set for the original PreTeen but I still want the new figures. I'm really looking forward to using many of the Unimesh texture maps on the new figures. Plus, if you have the Universal Texture Converter, you can always convert your favorite PT maps for Luke and Laura, too. I am hoping we get a lot better clothing support for Luke than the poor of PS and PT Boys had. If it were not for Poserworld, those little guys would be running around naked most of the time. They never did get anywhere near the support that the girls got. My vouchers went for a free "David" starter package so I have to wait for my November voucher before I get the new kids unless any other vouchers pop up in the meantime.

I thought I should add one more thing to the thread here. Laura has got higher resolution in the cheeks, mouth, jaw etc. and that should make for better looking morphs and more variety in characters made for this figure. Even if you're not morphing the figure, the ear difference is a good example. Less sharp edges and angles. A resolution comparison image-
