Anyone had a problem with Poser 5 PZ3 textures not importing into Vue 5? I was going OK until yesterday when I tried to import a canoe with three figures, paddles props etc.The canoe imported ok but not one texture came with it or the figures.Everything was white.Do I have to change any settings in the preferences? My Poser5 is on another machine networked to my Vue 5 drive.I am running XP Pro with the SR2 update,dual Athlon 2.6 plus processors,1.5 gigs of ram,Radeon 9700 card and over 100 gigs of free hardrive space.Plus Mover 5. Any advice appreciated.arrow1

I would not change settings when it was ok before and does not work on one file. Or is it now going wrong with all Poser imports? I am on Mac and run into problems like that sometimes. On Mac for Poser imports there is an external application necessary. Depending on what the computer does while the import is running (Sometimes i play or surf the Internet etc) it happens that the texture message is lost in communication between the applications. Maybe that is the case here as well. That the texture information is lost in a network stability problem from time to time. Or something like that. It is something that i learned from the old days of networking. Keep applications that have to deal with each other on one disk - even on one partition. I lost several files by saving through networks as well. Applications like Freehand or Photoshop do not like that (sometimes). Or didn't liked it some years ago. Of course only my 2 cents.

I had the same problem with Poser 4 and Vue 5. I've found that if I put all the textures into the Poser/Runtime/Textures directory, they will import without any problem. If the textures are anywhere else (ie. My Documents) then it will import without textures. This works with Poser 4, so it might work with Poser 5...

it doesn't work that way with winxp sp2, P5, and vuepro beta forever.

Since I'm a mac user like wabe, I'm not shure if I can help, however I'll try my very best... Have you already specified the folder where Vue should look for textures. In VuePro you can select various folders where the program should look for textures when importing Poser files. I don't have Vue5 myself, so I'm not shure if this is possible, but might be worth a try. Phil

Yes I have tried that! I have moved Poser5 to the computer that Vue5 is on.So far I have imported my canoe,figures and textures.Maybe the problem was as wabe said with networking and going online when Vue is running on the other computer.Cheers arrow1
