Count me in on any requests... I'll try my best, but not so sure about breaking the laws of physics... ;)

I'm modeling a house based on a real one in Prescott, Arizona. I can do most everything except one specific window (the one in this photo). Any takers? I'd want to, of course, easily change the three textures (green wood, red wood, glass). I sell most of my images, if that matters.

And the full house just to show it.

pogmahone ( ) posted Fri, 20 August 2004 at 4:32 AM

Is that guy in front swinging a bat just out of sight?

jasonmit ( ) posted Fri, 20 August 2004 at 2:28 PM

Nope. That's my step-dad and he has no bat.

Is the house haunted? ;^)

jasonmit ( ) posted Fri, 20 August 2004 at 3:01 PM

Yup. ;-) And it's in need of a modeled window.

How's this? 20kb 3DS, group the lower frame and glass, then raise it on the y axis to make it open. Let me know. :)

jasonmit ( ) posted Wed, 25 August 2004 at 4:48 PM

Looks cool, but Jed already made me one.

LunarTick ( ) posted Sun, 05 September 2004 at 6:02 AM

Hi all, new to Bryce and thought i would ask if someone could do a Model/Mesh for me. I'm looking for a UFO, now if you have seen Independence Day the movie that is the sort i'm looking for and as relistic as possible.

Jaymonjay ( ) posted Sun, 05 September 2004 at 11:15 AM

Tick: might be doable. how's about some reference pics?

lexland ( ) posted Thu, 09 September 2004 at 8:31 AM

Ok, this is hard... Can anyone model a Fuchikoma like those seen in the ghost in the shell manga? There was one a long time ago in some website, but I can't find it any more...

shadowdragonlord ( ) posted Wed, 15 September 2004 at 4:33 AM

Aye, a Fuchikoma? I've seen Ghost in the Shell many times, but I'm not sure what you mant, lexland...? I'd love to try to model something from that movie...

lexland ( ) posted Wed, 15 September 2004 at 10:23 AM

That'd be great to see models from Ghost in the Shell! The Fuchikoma is some kind of crab/spider like intelligent vehicle. Here's some references I've found.

shadowdragonlord ( ) posted Wed, 15 September 2004 at 4:25 PM

Aye, I was afraid you meant the tank! Well I don't know if I can model the whole thing without really going insane, but it's a good goal... Off to Rhino to give it a shot. Thanks for the pics, Lexland.

lexland ( ) posted Wed, 15 September 2004 at 7:39 PM

Since I'm not good at modeling, I don't know how hard it can be, but it really seems a big challenge! Thanks (and "tanks", in this case:)) for tryin, Shadow!

TobinLam ( ) posted Wed, 27 October 2004 at 7:23 PM

I am doing a scene involving a POW-MIA table(I recently posted a WIP). I need a ribbon that I can put around a vase. If you already know where to find one please tell me, I have been looking all over.

Jaymonjay ( ) posted Wed, 27 October 2004 at 11:31 PM

Tobin - If you can give me more specifics, I would be happy to try modelling it for you. Maybe post a link to your WIP?

Here is the link to the WIP.

The vase will be slightly different than the one in the image but about about 10x20x10.

Well, first off, here's a quick table with table cloth. The table cloth is pretty high-poly, but it looks nice in Bryce. It is untextured, but has several material zones. :)

Secondly, what sort of ribbon do you want? With a bow? Looped around the vase several times? Or like one of those 'I support such and such' ribbons?

TobinLam ( ) posted Thu, 28 October 2004 at 3:45 PM

file_111292.jpg

Thanks for the table cloth. The ribbon should wrap around once with a bow. I would like the ribbon to be pretty narrow. Like the one in the picture. Thanks.

Jaymonjay ( ) posted Thu, 28 October 2004 at 11:53 PM

I'll see what I can do.... :)

Try this one on for size. 3DS, untextured. It might need some adjusting, but you should be able to do that in Bryce.

TobinLam ( ) posted Fri, 29 October 2004 at 8:18 PM

Thanks! That looks like it will work just fine.

Jaymonjay ( ) posted Fri, 29 October 2004 at 8:38 PM

Hope so! ;) If there's anything else you need, please feel free to IM me. -Jay

SqueakyLefty ( ) posted Mon, 01 November 2004 at 7:27 PM

Really easy model, i'm sure but I'm failing miserably at it. Just a nice easy shattering sphere, only stipulation is that i need more of the shatter directionaly at the top right of the mesh, using it for my friends local bands new cd cover, gotta have gold dust "spraying" (wrong word, but its close)(misting may be better) into an album title, rest of the image is going well, im working on a velvet marble bag but its going ok, thanks to anyone who helps. I need a Roast Turkey, as in Christmas dinner. A 3D model, not a real turkey. Anybody up for that ?

I used your request for a roast turkey as an excuse to try and speed model it. (In under an hour I think.) Hows this for a model? (I could try mapping it, but it'll take longer.)

Damn that turkey looks good! Im salivating all over. The texture should be quite interesting. A glossy, juicy golden brown texture I envision for the main bird. Excellent job Pauljs75.

How would you go about making a wizard's staff - with a large-ish shining jewel at the terminal? For Bryce4 - for a poser figure to hold. (preferably a faceted jewel, not a round smooth pebbly one)

I do have something else I'd really like, I'd like a storm tossed ship - wooden type, not space type - you know sails torn, looking a bit the worst for wear. I do have an image of a painting I did a good while back with something a bit like what I'm looking for. For Bryce4. Probably too hard...? It doesn't have to look exactly like the image, but it should be old, ancient maybe. But not many tiered like Henry the VIIIth's ships, I'd rather it was simpler than that. Faintly piratical maybe, but no flags, nothing to distinguish it. FranOnTheEdge

Hello.....is there anybody there!
Not sure if this thread is still active, I had it bookmarked, but I have a request for a model.
It's the frame for a cockpit. I have a photo reference.
If anyone can help I would be grateful!!!

John.

pakled ( ) posted Thu, 04 May 2006 at 1:20 PM

*limit the requests to things that haven't been modeled(or done badly....*lets me out..;)

Gad, I do a different model for every pic I do..something on the order of 600+, more that 1 gig..;) I usually model something, and 6 months to a year later, someone does it in Rhino, 3DS MAX, or something, and blows mine out of the water..;) Pakled- the 1st, but the worst..;)

'an watch out for Drac, he makes good modles, but check the sizes..;) j/k..;)

danamo ( ) posted Thu, 04 May 2006 at 9:24 PM

Hi johnyf. Is the cockpit from a "real-world" aircraft, or is it from a Sci-Fi(fantasy) craft? To do an accurate approximation of the cockpit of a real-world craft would require some dimensional data as well as reference pics, whereas a Sci-fi cockpit would allow for more flexibilty(fudge-factor) or liberal interpretation since it is not based on an actual existing craft. Any chance you can post a small pic to let us know what we might be getting into?

Hi Dan.  This is it. This will more or less be the pov as well. I need the frame and windows. The control panel stuff I can do in Bryce. I don't have any dimentional data though, I'm afraid!

pakled ( ) posted Fri, 05 May 2006 at 8:40 AM

Check with Dann-o, he has a Russian blueprints site that gives dimensions of a lot of aircraft. I'm at work, and don't have the site, but he should know about dimensions..
