Sensuous already looking at this post - give me an idea as to which image looks best on your setup. On mine, the far left image looks right - but I've had people tell me my images look "dark".. (I'm Mac based....I've heard that PCs tend to display a bit darker?) Anywho - this is sort of a poll - the winner gets......well.....nothing - maybe some better looking posts from me! ;^) Wolf

hehe, I must agree on no 2. However I must admit to love the dark, so don't worry about me here, well only when I get a little too dark minded :)

For me, numbers 1 and 2 are just as good. Imo a setting in between would be best (for my sceen anyways). Btw. i have the same thing some people say my images are dark too, i have a sneaking suspicion that maybe they have their monitors set too dark...

calibrating monitors... it's been discussed here in the forum with some good links before... if i can find it...

opps I liked the one one the far right. And this is the monitor which is set too light. Mabe I just like lighter chickens! =:-) Bsteph

1 and 2 both look fine to me....and thats on my CRT monitor and on my husbands LCD attached to the notebook. That image posted in that thread is a good grab. I have it on my desktop and use it to tweak my monitor. For those that are unsure if their monitor is calibrated properly....You should be able to distinguish the difference between the last two or three tones on either end, but barely. And best to do it in low ambient light or no light at all.

OK which is number 1?!?!?! I assume number 1 is the one on the far left. If so. On my moniter 1 is rather dark. Am I correct 1 is the one on the left and 4 is the one on the extreme right? ( Let's ignore which picture looks best for now. ) Bsteph

Yep - sorry, guess I should have had a number or something on each of them, but yes - they would be 1 to 4 from left to right.
