Hi im a cartoonist by trade but want to expand into 3d so i bought poser 5. Being new to it all but still having to meet deadlines im learning as i create. At the moment i download costumes etc to save time. My problem is i need to download the Michael character but cant find him anywhere. Also a lot of my commissions come from the disabled field so i need to know how to create realistic amputations etc. HELP!!!

First tip: The Poser forum is probably where you want to be asking questions relating to Poser. ;-) Second: You need to buy Michael, he's not free, although you can get the much older "original" Michael figure for not too much cash. Michael in all his incarnations (he's currently on version 3) can be found at http://www.daz3d.com/ :-) bonni

Thanks Bonni for your advice. I've bought Mike 3 and can now get on with my work in earnest. Hopefully I'll get into the swing of poser and not keep asking for help! Ed.

As far as the amputations, there is, excuse the name, Gore package at renderotica. Be warned though, that site is more adult oriented.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Also, in both the store and freestuff here you will find casts, crutches, wheelchairs, and various hospital settings and rooms and supplies. There is a FAQ at the top of the page, various tutorials, and look especially for the "primers" by Dr Geep (he is good at making complex information understandable, with a dash of humor). And, please, ask questions. It is how we all learn! Carolly

Ed I'm quite the noobie too, with P5 I've finally been able to create something more complex than a stick figure! And as far as I'm concerned, you've found the best place for help. The people here have been extra kind and patient with me and have help to explain things in such a way that I dont feel too stoopid. ;) Welcome and as they say: If you dont know, ask! I seriously doubt I'll answer anything other than to tell you where the power button is tho! LOL Allen SoaLD@comcast.net
