Hi guys, I've been working on something and i really need your critiques on it.

First, I'm not sure if it's appropriate for me to put this here (as a collage? dunno).

Secondly, I'm not satisfied with what i have created. I'm stuck. would like suggestions/input/feedback...
tell me what you like/don't like about this as a whole. i wrote the poem many years ago.

I really wanna do this one right. As for image...well, i didn't want to photograph a homeless person...just don't feel comfortable with it. so i took a pic of the ground...hoping people will use their imaginations...

maybe i should go with a winter scene? a pine tree or something. HELP!!! thanks guys.

Hi Clever but the the final project i couldnt identify some of the words because it blended in the background.I no expert so can only say what i see. Love how the words form a christmas tree and photo is beautiful. Regards Chris

Try making the background more opaque. Fade it out a bit, I think that will make it more readable and more softening to the eye. Magick Michael

i messed with it a bit... darkened/hightened contrast, moved text over, multiplied the text layer, since i didn't feel like writing it all out... on the cement layer i used selective (lasso) brighten, further erasing back (backgd set to white) areas where text met dark spots... don't know... but here it is... could use a bit more blending tween light/dark area at the top right of the tree... i've got to go to bed... :] *clunk* zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

In your original I find the text hard to read. Maybe it needs some stroke in a contrasting color?

Morning! IMO... as long as the background still looks like a photo, I don't see any problem with adding text over it & uploading it to the gallery :] glad we gave you further ideas! that's what we're all here for

tvernuccio ( ) posted Fri, 03 December 2004 at 2:08 PM

3D guy...yes. i find text hard to read too in original. black didn't work. the but way cindy did it...moved it..might be better. and thanks for letting me know Cindy...i just wasn't sure. yep...that's original foto...just played with the color and contrast a little. thanks ya'all!

i like the background image in blue ( the 2 ).the photography is just right for me,Sheila. i would take an other type and a smaller not so thick or bold.

Here is a quick way to make your text stand out...just hit the back with gaussian blur and a light color text layer. I just slopped this together real quick, but it looks quite classy if you take your time and do a clean job.

soloshadow & gerhard: hmmmm...i like it with that blur...not sure about that font though. thanks! and i do like the blue better too. i was thinking green was better because it goes along with Christmas colors...but i think blue suits it more. Thanks a lot guys...i'll keep playing and see what i can do. you given me more to think about and try!

Hey Sheila, this is a fabulous project. Love Cindy's idea, and look forward to seeing the final version.

I really like cyn's version, but would use a lighter color for the font :)
