Subject: Poser light saves, and file size control

Much to my dismay, when I save a scene in PZ3 format, when I recall it later to work on it, all the lighting is concentrated in a single center spot...thus destroying my careful placement of the lighting.. is this normal, or am I experiencing a program problem. Second problem: My props file has grown beyond the 100 limit..I know there is a way of modifying the program to allow 1000 of them without sacrificing the thumbnails..HELP!

Hi Sparky8,

Suggestion to remedy your 1st problem ...

Save the Lights as a Light Set in the Lights Library.

Then, if something goes haywire with the .pz3 file, you can more quickly restore (at least) the lighting.

re: 2nd problem ... do a search for Pboost <---(sp?).

For the second problem... If you're using P5 you need to edit LibraryPrefs.xml.

It's in Poser/Runtime/prefs.

Back it up before you start to hack away at it. Open in a text edtior such as WordPad, then search for "previewNum=".

When you found that, change the number which follows it to a higher value.

Save the file back out and you're good to go.
