Subject: Question about Purchases at Marketplace

I've been here at Renderosity for quite some time now but haven't gotten around to actually buying anything from the marketplace up until now. I just purchased EJ (Eternal Judy) poser model. How do I use it now? It says its available for immediate download, will it be mailed to me instead to my home? Sorry, I'm new to this stuff.

You should have recieved an e-mail concerning your purchase but you can also go to the front page of the marketplace and click onto Purchases. It will take you to your purchase page and you can get your download from there. (:

If this is your first time, you might have to wait to be approved before you can download your purchase. A lot of Poser stores do that these days, particularly for overseas customers, because there's so many fraudsters on the net. Usually it's just the first purchase.

Does it usually take this long or should I just wait a few days at the most? I just want to make sure the merchant that I'm buying from delivers.

The merchant isn't involved in the actual transaction; that's all run by Renderosity. You may have to contact ClintH with something on a first purchase. If you've recieved a confirmation e-mail, check it for instructions. If not, you might try IMing him and seeing if he can help.

You bought it from Renderosity, not from the merchant. Rosity is the one who's got to deliver your purchase.

Here's what the FAQ says:

*First time buyers (Credit Card, Debit Card and Paypal)

  1. Credit or Debit card. As part of our verification process we ask that you send us the toll free or security number off the back of your credit card along with your Renderosity member name. When we have this information, we'll be happy to activate your purchase. All future Credit and Debit card purchases will be available for immediate downloading. This information should be sent to the Store E-Mail.

  2. Paypal. As part of our verification process we ask that you send us your Renderosity member name, Order ID number and your real name used on your Paypal account. When we have this information, we'll be happy to activate your purchase. All future Paypal purchases will be available for immediate downloading. This information should be sent to the Store E-Mail.*

If you haven't sent that information, drop them an e-mail.

I use paypal for my purchases here and as soon as I click that send money button, I go back to the purchases page and download my file.

Yes, the part of the FAQ I quoted only applies to first-time customers. You only have to do it once. And if you became a customer before this fraud stuff exploded, you probably never had to wait.
