It just went up yesterday, I think. There's some discussion of it in the Commons section of the DAZ forum. Two things strike me about the product description: 1) "Create literally hundreds of new characters that dont have that old Vicky 3 look" - that old Vicky 3 look?? Daz dissing its own products? 2) "All morphs are categorized under clear group headings (In Poser 4 and Daz studio) for easy recognition" - derr, what about Poser 5??
The PAs write those descriptions, not DAZ. And I don't think it's dissing, exactly. Just that some people want Vicky to look different - not like Vicky, because she's so widely used.
I wondered about that, but I think all it means is that the morphs are organized so that they're easy to use in P4 and DS. Poser 5 users can organize stuff themselves, any way they want.

hmmmmmm.....no offense....but I think I'll pass on this one. The crinkles around the mouth look well bunched up...not natural so to speak. But the texture itself looks great :) Link to the morphs:Message edited on: 12/21/2004 17:52
it would be great to see a few more faces made with it..the ones at the DAZ promo look a lot like V3 to me. the one above doesn't...looks like this may have potential. If I could ever figure out how to use magnets, this may not be needed however.

I just can't wait for V4.
I want to spend tons of money on all new hair, clothes, textures, character packs, morphs, etc, etc.........
Uh....on second thought..........

I bought it and played around a little. The main advantage I find is the face morphs, which allows for more styles than standard V3.
The drag is that you cant inject the standards V3 morphs, so you have to make up your mind which to use: V3 or V3 Generation 2005... Which did put me in an awkward situation: the expression morphs in V3 Gen 2005 is not very good.
However, I found a clever work-around that makes this package usable:
Load V3 Gen 2005 and shape a nice face
Export the head as a morph target (obj file)
Load a regular V3
Load the obj file as a morph target to the head and apply the face you created on V3 Gen 2005
Add all the standard V3 expressions and body morphs you need and dial away
Voila! The best of two worlds in one figure :-)
Hello,
I purchased the V3 Gen 2005 character and for the most part I like it.
What I don't like is that it is very memory-heavy, weighing in at 90+ meg, it will drag your system down.
A suggestion to the author: Use the INJ/REM system so a person can pick and choose what morphs to use.
For now, I use the same method as Kelderek, create the character I like and the export the morph.

Hello,
Well, one work-around for the INJ/REM for this character is to use Poser's Little Helper (P.L.H.) at:
http://home.online.no/~kjellil/Index-AllStuff.htm
It will convert your saved morph obj's into INJ/REM files. Takes some practice but it is really a slick program.

With the DAZ voucher, this item looks a snip at $6.
In all probability I'll get it anyway, but how distinctive (ie un-V3-like) are the characters? Can it do for V3 what, say, Brom does for M3?
