Allright, the problem seems to have solved itself... well, part of it anyways. Here is what I think happened. It all started with that little gem of an update, the Windows Security Center. It somehow messed up my Windows firewall (which I still cannot access because of an "unknown internal error"). Now I have no idea why but today I can see those pictures, even if yesterday I couldn't, no matter how many restart I did. I still cannot connect to Kazaa, though. Strange. Anyone has any idea how I can regain control of my windows firewall? Or at least shut it down, since I am already behind a Norton firewall? Thanks to everyone for your advice. Checking the Explorer options was my first reflex too, and everything was in order. The problem was indeed firewall, but that falls short of my area of expertise (which pretty much begins and ends with MS-DOS 6.2). Merry Christmas to all, and a happy new year! Bob
this is weird....i mean for the firewall to block the images....
anyway to connect to kaza go to norton firewall settings and check the settings for kazaa make sure the firewall dosen't block it....
to turn off your windows firewall you go to : start - control panel , security center and it is there windows firewall...
it is good to turn the windows one off otherwise if you don't know what are you doing they can get in all kinds of arguments about which lets what program to run and stuff....

Yeah... I'd like to turn the windows firewall off, but I can't. When I open the Windows security center on, it tells me there's a problem and that I should restart the computer... only when I do that, it only tells me to stay away. And then I can't open Windows firewall because it tells me there's an internal error. Kazaa is okay by Norton, I think the problem is tied to the security center. As for the pictures... well maybe the firewall wasn't it... I just can't figure out what it could possibly have been since restarting did not solve the problem. Has Renderosity been down momentarily during December 26?
sorry don't know what to say ....i am afraid i can't help you anymore.... i never had this problem before when i installed norton everything was just fine i just turned the windows firewall off.... ind i just tryed to open it right now and i have both of them running at this moment....just a test...so it is working.... did you installed any other antivirus with other firewall or other internet security settings? cause i just remembered that at some point i installed panda antivirus and because i did not stoped norton at that time they got into a huge fight LOL and it crashed my comp anytime i would restart...i could never figure it out to make them run in the same time.....

Greetings! I have a very technical problem with renderosity: I can't see any image or thumbnail! I just reformatted my computer (Windows XP, no need to say), and now any image in Renderosity I try to see with Ms Internet Explorer does not load and is replaced by an empty box with an "X" in the top-right corner. I tried re-installing Windows but it did not help... Has anyone an idea as to how this might be? Many thanks, Bob
