I have opinions of my own -- strong
opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.
drawbridge, if my girlfriend can remember the site she saw some information on Minas Tirith and it had detailed plans of it on there as well. if it can help you i'll pass it on to you. I'll ask her if she kept the site when she comes home after spending my money and banking hers.

oh, the fonts are out there, furthark's the dwarvish one, and , uh..I can't remember the elvish one..I do believe I've seen actual swords for sale like this, high 3-figures (i.e., a sharp piece 'o metal that looks just like the real thing.;) I know I've got them all, just can't remember the name (2,226 fonts..what's my problem?..;)
I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit
anahl nathrak uth vas betude doth yel dyenvey..;)
Oh, very nice, that would be Anduril, I believe, the most beautiful sword of all time, i like that thing a lot, never made exact model, but I might try again, buhahahaha !!! :P My model differs a bit, cuz, I was in begining stages of sub-D modeling, still, find myself sometimes dream in nurbs, but it will go away !!! :D And, Phil, do finish it, we all HAVE to do something in LOTR theme, it is mandatory for every Brycer ! :P
The sharp shiny thingies are gonna turn out great, so its a good starter. And Kemal I didnt know I had to go through that LOTR-stage. I thought I was safe in the secret brycesociety. I actually did a lousy attempt to do a Moria-image, but I thought that was going to be the end of that road. ;)
Good spelling is overaytead
The sword is spun around so you don't have to stand on your head to read the inscription.
For those that can't read Angerthas Eregion writing it says
"Anar NyAndil i nNarsil i macil Elendilo. Lercuvanten i mi Mord. Isil"

looks killer so far - I would maybe rotate the sword instead of having it perpendicular to the crown, it would maybe help bring better focus to both of the objects. The materials seem a bit to "clean" to me, maybe bring down the reflection a bit and add a slightly worn texture on either of them. It would be cool to see this in another atmosphere too, maybe on a stone pedastal with a cloth draped over it - just my 2 cents:) Other than that, looking great - best of luck with the image, and with your other LOTR projects!!
Wow, tips from Woodhurst!!! When I get tips from the LOTR master, then I have to listen. All good ideas. I am trying to think of a better setting for the sword. I'm thinking maybe on the anvil just after it was reforged. Or got to town and use intersect to shatter it. The more I look at it, the more I realise that it's really not a great model. I may redo it but this was a good trial.

I still post stuff to Elfwood, even got someone kicked off too. He came back and cruises my gallery looking for stuff to malign. Whee! Nothing like squishing a 1024x768 picture to 700x700, what fun! its the comments like this that keeps me there > well it's certainly special... it's not a style I personnally am fond of, but I admit that I'm impressed... so many of your pieces are strangely captivating and creepy. I wonder what it is about your style that makes them so scary, so real and so oddly close to the visitor. Don't know what to say, except that you've made me discover a new sort of art ^-^ <

Anyway, Aragon's crown and the reforged Narsil. Not working out great, which is why I'm probably bored. Need more smothing and more detail. But not today.
I have to say, that I have new respect for you people that can pull of the fantasy stuff. I've been trying to recreate Minas Tirith, which should be easy, but it's a knightmare.
