It's probably the placement of the subject. She's directing the focus totally off the scene. Move her over 1/3 to the right. Also you might have to do something about the background placement so you don't get mergers or too distracted. (Same rules as with getting a good picture in photography.) Other than that, dunno what else could be done.

Hope she's got plenty of sunscreen, LOL. I agree with Paul. Of course you'll need to move the flag if you do that. Good solid start.
This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

I guess the g-forces broke her zipper? ;-) I like the low view point, but I see what Paul means. Maybe face her towards the camera? How about Depth of Field? Blur the tank busters a little? Perhaps have some things in the foreground (blurred again), oil drums, or crates or missiles. Dunno, just thinking out loud now.

Aye, I think the scene is fine, only the POV is off. Notice how much empty, dry space there is at the foreground and bottom right? Take your camera up a bit, and toss some rocks and dirt and grass down there. Not much, but something to fill the emptiness... Also, lighting. Turn off the sun and try relighting the scene with radials, or a few key spotlights Targeted at key objects. Once you're satisfied with that, perhaps try tossing in a small light dome to fill out the shadows. Don't bother with millions of lights, just try a 16 or 20 light dome approximately where your sun would be shining from, might help add to realism...?
I think she's missing that 'Mech' thing..you know...that tank on 2 legs...sorta..ed209 thing from Robocop....? Totally hot image but the palmtrees are obviously clones....a bit of a rethink here perhaps?

What separates an ordinary Bryce image from an extraordinary one?
Detail!
One normally sees a hanger or two (in the background) where mechanics would work on the planes. What about an air control tower? Ground is too flat for sand, try changing to asphalt/ runway (with markings). Lastly, you may want to watch "Top Gun" and look at the airstrip /airbase scenes for those details like a fueling point near the aircraft, etc.
BTW, Good image!

Didn't you know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That's why eyedrops and rose-colored glasses are needed.
If it's military aircraft, there isn't necessarily any control tower or hangars if it's a forward base. Perhaps some supply and fuel trucks, some tents or netting, and perhaps grids for the planes to taxi or land on. Such facilities could be quite spartan compared to a regular airfield.
