I know it sounds daft but try looking through the router log for blocked port attempts, you should see the packets that bryce is trying to send and which port address they are aiming at, then just open that one!
(just out of interest for some reason most products jump onto port 8000 - don't know if bryce does)

No, no head hit, I had a seatbelt bruise to prove that, lol. I was just chiming in for absolutely no good reason, lol. I'm not even wireless, and after working on a wireless system for the 5-6 weeks I was away from home in Nov....I'll NEVER go wireless. NeverNeverNeverNeverNeverNeverNever. It was Butt-Slow, and always cutting out and losing signal. Of course I'm sure there are great wireless systems, but that one has scarred me for life, lol. AS

I have a D-Link DI-624 and I have tried to render wirelessly and now with both computers connected to the router via rj45 cables (directly). And still I am able to set up the network render and get the other computer to show up and have a green dot but as soon as I start the render nothing happens on the other computer. I am about to give up :(
