lol...I've been testing too long Time to share, I guess. I've had her for a bit, now and looks like she'll be on the market next week. morris and face_off have joined forces to make what, I think most certainly, is a very powerful tool. More control of the skin than ever before... The skin is a morris! Tight texture with just the right finesse. There's also a custom fit bumpmap which has been corrected for maximum impact. >closeup coming< The scripting is by face_off. He has taken it up about 10 levels from Real Skin Shader and fit it to this skin. See screenshot...1 The name of this new skin is still not released. This was rendered FFly with Displacement bounds and shading rate set at 0.200. No RayTrace. I doubt I'll ever use a straight skin again. As you can see, you can lighten, darken, blush, sweat, alt highlight, fade and auto bump and displace with all the in between...even lip gloss. In about 5 seconds. Yep, the eyes have been finessed for reflection and so have the teeth.

The first one scared me a little bit, but the second is gorgeous. Her skin looks warm and touchable. Nicely done.

The second one looks a lot like Cher 8-)

richardson ( ) posted Thu, 13 January 2005 at 10:44 PM

Cher? Now I'll get busted for fanart...lol I started this thread with the hopes of just posting up some renders of this great product. Now I'm knee deep in a RayTrace shadow war. I'll be back... Oh! ...1st one is full preview window

Whew, Barely got this one through. At 100% scale. Not easy. Here are the eye settings. Standard blue. First time I've seen this one...beautiful veining. It's the bumpmap that I was trying to show. Look how tight it is. Closer gets better...See, I've never had a decent bumpmap so this is exciting.

Just curious, you said in your first post that the skin shader was "fitted" to this skin. I would assume you could change the skin and still use the skin shader, right? Have you tried it with other textures?

richardson ( ) posted Fri, 14 January 2005 at 10:39 AM

Kalypso.. You could and I have switched out skins. But you're sacrificing some of the best features of this product.

Can't wait to start playing @face_off... thanks for your input on my latest gallery pic :-)

So can we convert the texture to fit Aiko, Steph and Laura, and will the results look the same? I'm downloading it now ;o)

Pokeydots - I missed this one! The texture will definitely fit Aiko - I haven't tried it on SP or Laura, but I would guess it would work (need to ask Morris on this one).
