I was in a room with a piano and drawbridgep's piano image came to mind. So I took a picture. Turns out I didn't quite have the image right in my head but here's an example of depth-of-field. Oops, that's not the good one. F# should be in focus but I shook the camera.

Aye, the ever-elusive F#... Cool pic, though... Perhaps run some postwork on it and clean up the.... Ahh, screw it. I keep trying to COMPUTERIZE everything I see! I'll see a sky, you know? The REAL sky? And ask myself how many layers it took... I see an aluminum can and automatically UV map it. I see an animal and try to bone it. With Maya, people, not any OTHER bones...! Ridiculous.

I think it's a symptom of a wider disease 'cause I do it too. I walk around looking for things I can model. Could be a nice picture. I like the colours.

HA! I wasn't supposed to know! As you can see in this better picture, the fourth octave F# is in focus. I know this because I played piano for 8 years. I also play Trumpet, so music is a big part of my life. Those streaks are from the scanner. I will have to get that checked out as they seem to be on the inside.

Wow, that's a long time! I'm sure you could find another instrument you can play. Once you get the hang of one it's not too difficult to learn another. Each instrument after that gets easier and easier. Because I play trumpet I probably wouldn't be too bad at French Horn or Baritone. In fact, I've known a few people that started out on one and switch to the other occasionally. The same thing happens with clarinets and saxophones. Besides, base 3 isn't hard, it's just different. Except when you start throwing in letters, then it gets weird.

hmm..I started piano at age 7, in 1965. I currently play Keyboards, bass, drums, flute, saxaphone, mandolin, guitar, and..uh..that's it (some of them I'm better at than others. I'm not quitting my day job..;).
Never tried a Clarinet, ran out of money before I could get around to it. They sell them at Wal-Mart now (I can imagine the quality..;) I play sax by just considering it a Middle-C based instrument with an extra b flat key..;)

Haha. I figured out Amazing Grace on the violin but I have no clue what notes I actually played.
